Ted Cruz WINS Louisiana, Donald Trump Threatens To Sue
Red State ^ | March 27, 2016 | Joe Cunningham

Posted on 03/27/2016 5:24:16 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Donald Trump barely won Louisiana’s primary. In fact, he lost the actual primary day turnout. A big win in early voting helped him keep the lead, but it was close. So close, in fact, that for all intents and purposes, it was a draw.

Enter Louisiana politics. Via my colleague streiff:

What is very clear is that if Donald Trump is not awarded the nomination on the first ballot, his bloc of delegates will melt away and his wins are not being capitalized upon because his campaign is essentially incompetent.

You see, when it came down to the actual election of the delegates, Cruz had more support in the room. This gives him an advantage over Trump, and one that plays into the narrative of the anti-Trump crowd: Trump isn’t likable enough to actually win. His campaign can’t organize well enough to actually get his delegates to the convention, and party leaders don’t like the guy enough to follow his lead.

Of course, being the loser he is, Donald Trump responds as only a loser can: he threatens to sue....

Here's the way I see it. Trump, the greatest negotiator of all time, he wrote the book on it, just got punked by Ted Cruz supporters. He will not sue because the courts have ruled many times political parties can make their own rules. He will also realize what is happening in Louisiana is not an anomaly, but is happening all over the country.

Trump hates to lose, and even he can see it is unlikely he will get to 1237 delegates, meaning if it goes to more than one ballot, he loses.

Trump, as any good business man, hates to waste money.

My prediction: Trump will drop out before June 7th while still leading in delegates. He will claim a victory, and blame the GOPe for stealing the nomination. He will then say he is contemplating a third party run, which he won't do as he has no interest in paying for it.

No problem. I get overly dramatic these days but should have more aware of the day.

At least we have a candidate that actually fights.

Interesting theory.

Trump has too much pride to drop out....I just don’t see that. He likes a good fight.

Hey lookie, it’s the old “brokered convention” meme that Cruz dead-enders keep lying to themselves is going to happen to keep their fading hopes alive.

Your thoughts reflect mine early in this cycle. My only problem was the NBC issue...Now I am truly in the Trump camp.

Reading qualifications is not the same as seeing the person in action. Something has made me very uncomfortable with Cruz and I did not see him as VP even before the latest stories.

Hmmm ... nasty.

"When a pilonidal cyst is infected, it forms an abscess, eventually draining pus through a sinus. Pilonidal cysts are harmless until they get infected. At this point they form an abscess that causes pain, a foul smell, and drainage. This is more likely to occur in young Caucasian Canadian men with a lot of hair in the region."

You’re hilarious. I hope you don’t meltdown too badly when Cruz makes his inevitable concession speech.

“suppurating pilonidal cyst”

Man, “pilonidal cyst” was bad enough but you got real nasty when you added “suppurating”.

If you could, how would you best describe Cruz, in layman’s terms what you think he really is, the basis of your dislike. And why.

Let's face it, you don't like me because you saw my posts about Cruz and his affairs.

No. If you read my posts, you will discover that I take exception to your assertion of a fact when the truth wasn't even close to your statement. It was off and not by a little bit, and you called the author of the original article a liar.

I had one the first time I was stationed in Korea. Unbelievably painful.

“There is little doubt that Ted Cruze is a liar.”

There is much doubt that your statement is true.

Trump and his fans suffer from a terrible sense of narcissism and inferiority. Success is not enough. The opponent must not just be defeated. He must be utterly destroyed, which is where the projection comes into play. Trump is a moral sleazebag, so he and his followers must scream that their opponents are the biggest moral sleazebags in the history of the world. Trump is a liar so Ted Cruz must be branded the worst liar in the history of truth.

The Donald is good at threatening not so good with the follow through.

What happened to that big lawsuit Mr. Trump threatened Senator Cruz with because he considered his own words to be defamatory. I believe Senator Cruz called his bluff during one of the debates.

Right, because these crappy delegate stories aren’t a quadrennial thing that the second-place loser talks about.

He has to win even if he doesn’t. Getting when on top allows him to be a power broker. Republicans will have to come to him to support the nominee. Just an idea.

you will discover that I take exception

But if your problem really was with that, you wouldn't have lied about my "defense" and made a mountain out of a molehill. So your real problem is a personal dislike of me because you don't like what I have to say. That's fine, but don't pretend it's something else. It insults everyone's intelligence.
