Are you the one I tried to explain to that the United States already has universal health coverage because it is the law of the land?
And that I saw the interview, and the context that you refuse to acknowledge was that in that part of the interview Trump was talking about people who could not afford health insurance?
And that the reason he emphasizes that aspect is because he wants to head off democrats and people like you from accusing him of being a rich, non-caring Republican billionaire.
And if your are that person, you are just a nasty, bone-headed liar and don’t post me again.
Agreed. We are much better off with millions of individual consumers than just a few consumers. I understand what you are saying. I ran into this problem firsthand with a dentist I needed for an implant. I tried to negotiate a price by making payments in advance of the procedure. He essentially said he wasn’t interested because his other customer (the insurance company) already paid X amount.
So let me get this straight... The two of you are using the fact that the FedGov is already meddling in health care, even though it has no legit Art 1 Sec 8 power to be doing so, to double down on it and “do it the right way” just because Trump has no principles and has flip-flopped on the issue a few times?
Isn’t that a lot like the Dems saying Socialism works, we just need to do it right?
If something is WRONG, no matter how noble the cause, it is wrong. No amount of changing the paint job or making it smell better will make a midden heap anything other than a dross pile.
As for Cruz’s stance on Immiogration...
“As President, I will stop illegal immigration, build a wall that works, triple border security, and put in place the surveillance and biometric tracking to secure the border. Border security is national security. We need to stop Obamaâs amnesty and enforce the rule of law. And we need to reform legal immigration to protect American workers.”
Come on, get over it.
Check the transcripts of the second debate. Cruz’s position on health care is identical to Trump’s. (And Trump went first.)
Not even close. Trump wants single payer. Cruz wants a free market solution.
“Not even close. Trump wants single payer. Cruz wants a free market solution.”
You obviously did not check the manuscripts, or your did, and in typical Cruz-bot fashion, too dumb to admit you are wrong.
Manuscripts?
We have Trump’s own words and Cruz’s...
Face it, Donald’s an idiot with a big mouth and no specifics.
Bump!
Manuscripts? I meant transcripts 2nd debate.
However, to find out what Trump proposes, you DON’T ask Cruz, you can ask Trump from documents released some time ago:
As you read through chapter 8 of “Time To Get Tough” and you read through chapter 7 of “Crippled America” you will not find Mr. Trump calling for “Single Payer” health care coverage anywhere. In fact, in chapter 7 of “Crippled America” you will find that Mr. Trump specifically disavows his tepid and earlier support for a Single Payer system as one of the options he was considering as a person in the private sector more than 15 years ago.
He also calls for repeal and replace of Obamacare not “expansion of Obamacare” as Senator Cruz falsely states that he does.
Furthermore, in both books he calls for the following private sector reforms. Some of which are also called for under both Senator Cruz’s health care reform policy proposal and Dr. Ben Carson
s proposal. In addition to federal and state reforms. They are:
1.) Repeal of the McCarran Ferguson Act so health insurance can be sold across state lines.
2.) Expansion of Health Savings Accounts to promote price transparency & accountability.
3.) Tort (or Medical Malpractice Reform)
4.) Reform of our health care social safety nets such as Medicaid.
5.) Mr. Trump has most recently added necessary reforms to be made to our broken Veteran’s Administration health care system specifically because it, like all other Single Payer systems is an unmitigated disaster!
âBut Steve, Trump said he wants “Universal Healthcare! I heard him say it on CBS!!” Yes, he did. So what does Mr. Trump mean by âuniversalâ healthcare? For that we simply have to look up the definition of the word “universal”. According to Miriam Webster’s dictionary the term “universal” means “existing or available for everyone”. That does not mean ‘Single Payer’ nor does it mean “government controlled”! It means a health care system where everyone has access to some form of health care delivery. That is what I want.
Just saw this post of yours and wouldn’t want to not respond. I use no propaganda. If the facts, links and direct quotes get you down seek gentler pastures.
If people are actually informed they do not have trouble with commentary based on the above even if they have a different opinion upon sifting the facts. People telling the same lies over and over and ignoring the facts in favor of what picture serves their aims eventually deserve and receive short shrift.
I have never thought that you were a paid operative. You get into long discussions where you expend a great deal of effort trying to convince people of your point of view. I respect your point of view, your sincerity, and your persistence.
I do, you are right. Thank you, honest disagreement is a valuable commodity. It encourages research and analysis.
And sometimes it is just good sport. ; )
Yes, : )
Any thoughts on why there is now a (QQ) after my name?
It is kind of cute, it looks like a couple of crying eyes, but I had to look it up in the “urban dictionary” to get your probably meaning. The example given was “When someone bitches or whines everyone would say ‘QQ’, telling them to quit the game because they suck so much.” Pretty good!
Too funny..but I didn’t add it. It appeared today and I don’t know why?
Oh, that is very funny. I thought that you were giving me a quiz about its significance.
