I have read the interview, saw the interview, and Trump, as the article explains, was not calling for single payer.
That logic would require Trump to say “I’m against single payer” and then say in the next breath, “I am for single payer”.
Now I know you Cruz-bots can hold that belief in your minds, but it takes something that I would not like to have.
How do the Trump supporters get around this?
Cruz was on the Kelly show Wed night, and most of what he said about Trump was not true. I am very disappointed in the man. He is a man of God and then lies?
We need to pray for guidance
The Orange One only wants government health care on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays he favors the private market. (On Sundays, he eats his little cracker & drinks his wine).
Feel free to post whatever word for word quotes you want to.
But the fact is - Trump sounds just like Obama did with his fantastical claims about his wonderful health care plans.
“That the government’s gonna pay for”.
Simple... by digging for truth as best we can get at it.
Yes, part of the issue is that Trump IS a moving target — deals under construction are that way — however he has certainly at least shown willingness to be an open door to things that would be almost infinitely more palatable to the conservative than Obamacare is.
We have to eat this proverbial elephant a bite at a time. It may take a generation or more, even of concerted effort, to clean him off of our plate.
When Trump says the govt is going to pay for it he doesn’t really mean the govt is going to pay for it he really means the govt is going to pay for it.
Have a double shot of Trump flavored Brawndo and repeat until it makes sense.
When it makes sense you too will be a Trumpster.
How do the Trump supporters get around this?

See post 9 as an example. Trump did not say this. No sir. I’m a liar.
Fact is Trump said that is what he would prefer.
He said it would be best.
By calling something fantastical, doesn’t make it so, even though would be wizards blither in that manner.
Grrrrrr, the laziness of thought is suffocating around here.
Do you really think a Trump and a Sanders plan are going to look the same.
Some people are gullible.
THIS exactly.
Unfortunately Trump hasn't laid out how he is going to do anything except his tax plan. And his previous positions most of his adult life, go against the complete grain of what he is saying now.
It is very easy to say you will be great and everything will be great ( remember Obama was going to stop the rising of the seas, bring the world together, save every family $2,500 per year in health-care, etc. etc.??)
But Trump need to start getting much more specific VERY soon about how he intends to perform some of his magic. Pie in the sky statements sound great, big deal. This country needs darn more than great sound bites.
And that is why at this time I am supporting Cruz , because I have seen him sticking with positions and having to fight BOTH parties.
If Trump wins out, he better start offering up some serious specific plans, to make up and off set years of his previous statements and actions. He is going to have to prove to me, he his for what he is saying now that he is running for office, and he is going to have to convince me that he has some real plans on how to do it.
Cruz IS dishonest. Even Joe Scarborough thinks so and said it this morning on tv. His new ad uses “damn” I’ve heard! Tsk-tsk, you psalm-singing fake!
Trump on the Issues Healthcare
This first link is a link to chapter 8 of Mr. Trump's book "Time To Get Tough".
As you read through chapter 8 of "Time To Get Tough" and you read through chapter 7 of "Crippled America" you will not find Mr. Trump calling for "Single Payer" health care coverage anywhere.
In fact, in chapter 7 of "Crippled America" you will find that Mr. Trump specifically disavows his tepid and earlier support for a Single Payer system as one of the options he was considering as a person in the private sector more than 15 years ago.
He also calls for repeal and replace of Obamacare not "expansion of Obamacare" as Senator Cruz falsely states that he does.
Furthermore, in both books he calls for the following private sector reforms. Some of which are also called for under both Senator Cruz's health care reform policy proposal and Dr. Ben Carson's proposal. In addition to federal and state reforms. They are:
1.) Repeal of the McCarran Ferguson Act so health insurance can be sold across state lines.
2.) Expansion of Health Savings Accounts to promote price transparency & accountability.
3.) Tort (or Medical Malpractice Reform)
4.) Reform of our health care social safety nets such as Medicaid.
5.) Mr. Trump has most recently added necessary reforms to be made to our broken Veteran's Administration health care system specifically because it, like all other Single Payer systems is an unmitigated disaster!
Hillary will have a field day with Snidely Whiplash AKA Ted Cruz. Watch out, he will be throwing Grandma and orphans out of hospitals and such. Especially the blacks and the gays. Snidely hates those Hillary will say
Well, Trump HAS given very distinct signals about how he is going to CONSTRUCT these plans.
Deal, deal, deal, deal... what don’t you understand about deal....
This requires diligence. D, I, L, I, G, E, N, C, E.
“We The People” are being asked to get up off our hineys and have a part beyond throwing somebody over the DC transom. This spells opportunity. O, P, P, O, R, T, U, N, I, T, Y.
Yeah! We ought to approach Trump about being a Freeper... seriously.
