If Iowa was Sen. Ted Cruz's stomping ground, New Hampshire was set up to be a resounding defeat.
The evangelical values Cruz campaigned on in the Midwest were in short supply in the secular Granite State. He -- and everyone else -- polled double-digits behind Donald Trump. But though Trump snagged his first win in Tuesday night's primary, Cruz notched a comfortable third-place finish after Ohio Gov. John Kasich and avoided a brawl that experts said are likely to bruise the weaker candidates in the race.
That’s why the polls only have Trump ahead by an average of 15 points and not 30, like last night.
Funny how a second place finish for Trump in Iowa (by 3.3 per cent) was a death knell, but losing by 24 per cent in NH puts Cruz ‘comfortably in third place’.
How much did Trump spend?
Perception is everything, isn’t it?
Hillary lost in NH, she came out ahead too.
3rd is now the new 1st.

By the way, has the media found even one potential Carson voter who changed their mind based on Team Cruz’s message about Carson dropping out? Even one?
It was just the second round of a long fight. Cruz lost the round, but he is well positioned to continue to fight. The early rounds are wars of attrition, and the weaker candidates are dropping like flies. Cruz is trailing in delegates, but has the best shot to overtake the current leader.
He didnt cheat; he just repeated what CNN was reporting. Quite a few pundits have stated that Carson was running just to pump his book $$.

Better question....How many crossover votes occurred in the Iowa caucuses?
Cruz is trailing by 6 delegates - which is less than 1/2 of 1% of the total delegates needed to win the nomination.
Kasich spent 6 months In NH. It was difficult to step around him and his staff. He’s still Ohio’s governor. Right? Wondering who was running it for him.
