On the wall in my study is an autographed photo from Ronald Reagan. Along with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, William Wilberforce, Margaret Thatcher, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and and Martin Luther King Jr., he's part of my "Political Heroes Hall of Fame."
In a persons lifetime, it is rare to encounter an individual of character, consistency and competence like these courageous leaders. When one does, it behooves us to honor the man or woman with our prayers and support. I am convinced that, in answer to our prayers, one such person has "come into the kingdom for such a time as this."
As an avid student of history, Christian activist, Public Policy Advisor at Liberty Counsel and 40-year board member of Intercessors for America, I speak personally today in recognizing this individual and endorsing him for president of the United States. His name--Senator Ted Cruz....

In what way is Trump responsible for those wackos?
It takes millions of bricks to build a major structure.
Show me where he disavowed them.
Glenn Beck
'You know, 9/11 victim families, on television or whatever, I'm just like: Oh, shut up! I don't hate all of them, I hate about ten of them.'
Show me the list of Ted’s accomplishments.
Oh wait, I just looked it up. There aren’t any.
So you’re smearing Trump for things beyond his control, while Ted has accomplished squat in his tenure?
Claiming Trump is responsible for those losers is as disingenuous as those planted protestors at his rallies.
How liberal of you.
DC vs. Heller, Bush vs. Gore, Medellin vs. Texas and squashing the Gang of Eight.
The bills he has authored that have become law are?
If he wanted a fillibuster that actually stood a chance, why not this last omnibus spending monster? Campaigning and Christmas break too important. Or the Corker Bill? Hell, why not TPA? (Oh wait, never mind on TPA, he was lobbying for it.)
Those things would’ve required leadership. Not grandstanding.
Yes, it was an accomplishment to help win the recount for Bush. Gore would’ve been worse. Ungodly worse. So for that, I thank Ted. (Plus he met Heidi during the recount.)
As for adding an amendment to the gang of eight, his explanation almost matches his TPA shtick.
In here, you of all people have earned a reputation of being fair. You post lots of great articles, all year, not just during elections. We know you are an ardent Cruz supporter - but please abstain from the name calling and snarky condescension. It tarnishes your image amongst us who respect you.
Reagan was for TPA.
Beck was not being politically correct, that’s for sure, but from what I could gather from an incomplete recording, he was angry about New Orleans getting all of the attention when people all up and down the coast lost lives and had homes and businesses wiped out. He was also angry that some, not all, of the 9/11 widows were complaining about their compensation (from us taxpayers, btw), and I do remember something about that. Had to look it up and it looks as though some of us weren’t as sympathetic about their complaints either.

And so, Beck’s political incorrectness from 2005 is dug out of the archives in order to taint Cruz.
It's a little rough hearing someone say that it took him a year to hate (some) of the 9/11 victim's families.
There really isn't a good way to dress that comment up with a little lipstick and blush.
Especially when it’s taken out of context. But that’s political incorrectness for you. Did you read why he said what he said at the FR link given?
... Doesnât matter now who endorses Cruz, Beck the ânut jobâ did and they are buddies, thatâs all that needs to be said...
Does it ever occur you may be counting your chickens before they hatch?
good news. of course trumpsters will bash. Soon anyone who doesn’t endorse trump will be accused of being Conservative cause thats bad now
Cool!
If this is the Larry I remember from my teenage years, he is the pastor who held the extremely popular TAG meetings at Christ Church in DC, along with CJ Mehany. Does anyone know for sure?
That is the Larry Tomzcak I knew, as well.
You can endorse anyone you want, I can even do that, but it’s up to the candidate to do something about it...be happy and be seen with the person or not say anything about the person...
In the case of Beck ‘nut job’ Cruz and him are buddies, went to the border with ‘Teddy Bears and Soccer balls’ for illegal immigrants; and campaigning in WATERLOO and being on Beck’s show all the time, see the difference????
oh lobbylu...you poor, poor thing, life hasn’t be to easy for you has it....
This whole thread sucks.
