In all honesty, a win by Trump or Cruz would probably destroy the idea of THEIR GOP, but the GOP brand would likely be improved for the rest of us.

There you go. Absolutely on target. It’s always about the money. Follow the money.

Good!

May the damned thing die the horrible death that it has earned.

To Hell with the GOP.

Abraham Lincoln would roll over in his grave if he knew what the Republican Party has become.

We lost so any easy Senate pickups because of the lackluster idiots on the top of the ballot.

Well, if the GOPe had gotten those "easy pickups", then the awkward question of over-riding 0Muslim's vetoes would have come up.

"Fumbling" the ball at the goal line was easier...

And thus the Uniparty Kabuki Dance was preserved...

These guys really believe that their private exclusive fraternity, which requires butt kissing ladder climbing, is the ultimate conveyor belt and incubation chamber for talent, in the USA.

Only they have the magic sauce for national leadership, because they are the wisest, most experienced, most insightful.

The jig is up republican frat boys. You are nothing more then front men for the donor class that pays you. You care what they want. You just give us lip service when you need our votes and influence.

You tease us with the quality of life issues we care about, like the constitution, separation of powers, limited government. But you always act consistent with what your donors want, cheap labor, open borders, government involvement.

The GOP is not the nation, it is not the people, it is big politics spawning an organization that is feeding off the system, exclusively for its own selfish interests.

“If this were true, would the Left be talking about it? “

Outstanding point. I wonder why the left is so concerned about the Republican party destroying itself? They’re so thoughtful..

Well bye!!! And good riddance.

The GOP is the same as the Democrats. It either needs to change or deserves to be destroyed.

Trump is bringing very needed change.

"The GOPe has outlived its usefulness."

Or, it sold it's soul to the Devil lobbyists. Whatever it is there's a reason CONSERVATIVE REVIEW only gives 4 Senators and 19 house members an 'A' rating.

Destruction of the GOP is the whole point, especially pertaining to Trump’s candidacy.

“Correct. One argued 9 cases before Supreme Court judges. The other argued with beauty contest judges.”

I like Cruz very much, think he is a very smart guy, and am not diminishing your admiration of him. However, given the decisions that come out of the SC, I personally am not impressed in the slightest about anyone arguing a case in front of them. I don’t think anything that is done in government is all that impressive, and frankly believe that a group of convenient store clerks would be just as likely to do a good job in government as most candidates we have the choice of electing.

“said Josh Holmes, a former chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell”

Yep, pretty much says all we need to know about the article. I hope the GOPe will be gone forever.
