Without ever leading in a single poll, Ted Cruz has become the frontrunner in Iowa.
The Texas senator and conservative firebrand has closed the gap on real-estate mogul Donald Trump and is now trailing Trump by only a margin of 25% to 23% in the Hawkeye State, according to a poll released on Tuesday by Quinnipiac University. But, more than that, Cruz has been notching up key endorsements in Iowa and positioning himself to win the state’s first-in-the-nation caucuses on 1 February.
The poll comes in the aftermath of Cruz’s successful appearance at the Presidential Family Forum in Des Moines last Friday, hosted by social conservative powerbroker Bob Vander Plaats. The event’s moderator, top Republican pollster Frank Luntz, told the Guardian that Cruz “had the biggest meeting after the session. He was the most organized, most professional, doing this all step by step.†Luntz said the Texas senator deserved superlatives for every aspect of his performance: “If there was a most, he had it.â€(continued)

I’m quite sure Trump has no problem trading leads with Cruz
It is dawning on me that the reason Trump is so hated in Washington is because there is an impending World War coming up...if the Neocons have their way. The military/industrial complex that we used to hear so much of has a big stake in the upcoming middle east war. Trump would not be beholding to the cabal and might not play along. He has said it himself. Michael Savage has an interesting take this afternoon. Turkey got the go ahead nod from the US to shoot down the Russian Jet. Many players. including US, want the Russians out of the Middle east. The first call Turkey made after the shoot down was to NATO. Obama is on a mission in his last year, this is his endgame, and Trump could ruin it.

Cruz already showed in Texas he knows how to win against the establishment political machine. He’s now taking what he learned there and applying it on a national campaign. Smart and effective. And, fun to watch.

Cruz has won the nomination and presidency by sheer virtue of it be repeated by his base so often enough that they have willed it into reality.
That is what I was going to ask. He is not the frontrunner nut he is called the frontrunner. Does that mean that at 4% Bush is the favorite for the nomination?
First it was Bush against Trump, then Fiorina, then Carson, now it’s Cruz. I think the media wants Cruz and Trump to shred each other. This is too obvious. Cruz came in out of nowhere after Bush came in out of nowhere, then Fiorina, then Carson.
