A new poll by Fox News finds Donald Trump remains the leader of the Republican pack. Trump holds 24 percent of the vote, but is in a virtual tie with Ben Carson, who is getting 23 percent of the vote.
But the real news might be that New Jersey governor Chris Christie is polling at 1 percent. And is tied with Ohio governor John Kasich, who is also only at 1 percent.
Ted Cruz has 10 percent, Marco Rubio is at 9 percent, and Jeb Bush is at 8 percent.
Carly Fiorina has fallen to 5 percent.
Jeez, Carly sure is fading fast.
8 percent for Jebbie may be enough for Barbara to plot a path to victory.
Why are John Ellis Bush and the dead-enders even in the race?
Santorum had his chance in 2012 but didn’t even get on his home state of VA ballot. There’s no second chance for him.
Apparently Linda’s number is so low they’re embarrassed to print it.
It is great (and a bit shocking) how poorly the true, establishment RINOs (Jeb, Christie, Graham, Pataki, Kasich) are doing. They are barely breaking 10% combined.
Too small of a sample size for a national poll.
I would say seven people need to drop out at this point.
If the lower seven people dropped out, that would put Trump over 50% and they can’t have that!!!! (he’s dropping out you know lol)
Ping!
Does this mean Kasich will be in the undercard debate? Man I hope so!
I like how things are going.
Did anyone else notice that Barbara had a Jeb! sticker on her walker in that shot of George Senior throwing out the first pitch?
50% want someone who has never held political office to be the nominee. What a repudiation of the GOP. These GOP candidates are not a bunch of slacks either. Bush just can’t escape the stain of association with his brother and father. He’s also picked the wrong side of the immigration and common core issues.
Everybody below ¡Heb! can go home. Like a golf tournament, they’ve missed the cut to qualify for later round play.
It does seem that those taking the polls are pretty well informed. They'll look for promise from someone new on the stage, such as Carly. They'll investigate, then move on. I can't imagine how the elite throw the nomination to Jeb (or a "plan B") without the Republican Party falling apart.
Poll details
I wonder how one deals with being on top (not that it could have lasted) then doing something really stupid and being at 1 percent.
suicide by eating? his lap band will explode.
I’ll never see a president of Italian descent. We’re all cramped on the east coast for the most part and if you’re conservative you can only climb so high.
And if it’s a Cuomo, I’d rather die.
It’s not THAT big of a deal. :)
I live in the Land of Fruits & Nuts (California), once a reliable win for the ‘Pubs, now a lock for the ‘RATS. My vote is meaningless, but I won’t give it to another RINO, ever again.
