Narrow support for Trump (Massachusetts)

At an event in Norwood in August, real estate mogul and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump embraced Maureen Maloney, the mother of Matthew Denise of Milford.

In August 2011, Denise was killed on his motorcycle when he was hit and dragged by a pickup truck driven by a drunken man, here in the country illegally.

Denise was dragged a quarter mile, authorities said. His death became a lightning rod on the subject of undocumented immigrants.

“Will you close the borders?” an emotional Maloney asked Trump at the event via an arranged meeting.

With his relentless yammering on immigration Trump has picked up many followers, but isn't getting solid traction in MetroWest and the Milford-area. For some local Republicans, he is a one-issue candidate.

The billionaire’s stance - a policy requiring the deportation of all illegal immigrants and the complete closing of the southern border – is what attracted Maloney to the reality TV star turned politician, she said....

This happens ALL THE TIME in MA. The elitists who dominate the media, polling, and the elite city-suburb mentality are ultra-liberal. Then at times a Republican will come along and win, because a lot of MA folks like their independence and freedom, and don't agree with the ultra-liberal BS on things that affect them personally.

Trump should get more vocal about Common Core and states and towns having more say over governing. I'd wager those are the issues that will win over more elitists.

Besides that, what someone in Westborough says does not reflect the thinking that's going on outside Boston and its wealthy entitled suburbs.

BGRND CHECK--Swedish women and girls are being raped by the ME efugees crowding Europe---the men claim they are "unaccompanied children," even though a cursory glance shows they are grown men....

Same thing happened in Massachusetts when vote-crazed Obama dumped "unaccompanied minors" into the US (their parents hovered nearby---waiting to come across and get on the gravy train).

THESE ARE TRUMP SUPPORTERS--Last fall, thousands surrounded the Mass State House protesting the US border onslaught. Uber-liberal Mass taxpayers were understandably upset:

Some of the adult illegal swarm Obama trucked into Mass, were posing as "unaccompanied alien children," and were attempting to enroll in Mass public high schools.

“Some of them had gray hair, saying they’re 17 years old, and have no documentation,” said the Lynn mayor’s office. School policy is to check w/ family----who confirmed at least one HS enrollee was a 35-year old adult.

REALITY CHECK Gray-haired Guatemalan men enrolling in Mass high schools.....more like drug lords infiltrating schools---planning to set up lifelong lucrative businesses getting kids addicted......giving out free samples. Could also be sex traffickers --- lining up kiddies for johns (and for pedophiles) who pay big bucks to get ahold of the little white darlings.

RUBBER-STAMPED INTO THE US BY OBAMA It has been verified that the border-jumpers from 144 antediluvian dirt-poor, disease-ridden countries, are carriers of TB, Ebola,Chikungunya, Dengue fever, Norovirus. Hantavirus, Swine flu, Varicella. Variola, E-coli.......and childhood diseases America stamped out years ago.

Going into the 2014 midterms, organized latino pressure groups were heaping scorn upon taxpaying Americans opposed to Obama's E/O----the pressure groups were threatening Republicans with extinction---saying the latino vote was going to destroy them.

REALITY CHECK: In reality, 2014 was a tsunami that submerged DEMOCRATS in waves of defeat. Democrats who ran on amnesty were soundly defeated. Fox's Britt Hume said the latino vote was not even a factor. Republicans won historic one-for-the-books elections---from sea to shining sea.

For some local Republicans, he is a one-issue candidate.

Yes. Very probable. It is what propelled him to front runner status.

Candidacy and standing aside, for me this "one-issue" is the singular defining moment for the future of this country. Of course, there are other high-ranking issues - abortion, Second Amendment, spending and taxation, incompetence of GOP leadership, oppression by government fiat, and others. But if this country is allowed to be polluted by the refuse from the rest of the world it will not survive long enough to even begin to act on the other significant issues about which I and many others are concerned.

So yes, maybe he's best called a "one-issue" candidate. But it IS the RIGHT issue. So to say pooh-pooh because it is "one-issue" totally ignores the widespread sentiment that put him where he is now.
