According to NewsMax in 2011, "Donald Trump recalls with chagrin that he supported Barack Obama for president in 2008."

Confusing reports, then, but I can see perhaps the NewsMax is a nice PC piece showing how grand and open-mindedly gracious Trump was being when he claimed that he had been Obama's "biggest cheerleader" and that he "wanted him to do a great job. I still want him to do a great job."

While he projects nice sportsmanship in wishing Obama success, Trump exhibits total lack of political compass, which means the direction of his politics is guided by whim.

You may vote for Trump in 2016, but you have zero way of knowing where he will stand in 2018. You are only voting for what you hope Trump will prove to be -- look at his apolitical past.

Cruz sets and holds course as guided by a political compass. I know where he's going to stand in 2018 amd 2020; it's anyone's guess as to where Trump will stand on any of many issues by that time.
