Absolutely. I don’t remember if there was conclusive proof that he did it but most of us thought he did. I remember Dominic Dunne - who pursued OJ Simpson relentlessly - admitted he had sympathy for Blake.

I admired Blake’s acting chops but he got into heavy coke during the later part of his career and I remember so many bad reports out of the “Baretta” set. Another man who if he had kept to his first wife, would today be wealthy, healthy and working. But actors are often not very intelligent.

I knew little about him, although I did see “In Cold Blood”, which scared the daylights out of me.

Frightening movie, frightening book. He’s brilliant in the movie. His death scene is wonderful. All that talent and no brains. Makes me want to kick him.

Apparently, Blake had a horrible childhood. It seems that he never recovered from it.

Well, in looking over his Wikipedia page, I immediately negated his “my parents molested me” story. I’m old enough to remember when he was on tv talk shows in the late 60s when his movie “Electra Glide in Blue,” was the talk of the town. He was slated to be a star but his mouthiness and crudeness short-circulated his career; it wasn’t an act that generated much sympathy or interest. I guess eventually, after firing people and behaving so badly on “Baretta,” that people threw him out of the business. He continued to attend the West Coast Actor’s Studio but his career was basically over. He once complimented a friend of mine in acting class and that made me like him. As I said, I’m sure he’s not genius and like most not-very-bright people, he acts impulsively which gets him into heep-big-trouble. (He also pretended to be of Indian origin in the 60s until it was proven he was just another guinea).

He was working in the business from the age of at least six, so chances were that he was at least partially supporting his family. I wouldn’t be surprised if his family and others molested him.

The founders of this country were not fans of the Catholic Church and we would be a better country without the Romanist interlopers influence. Anyone who pledges allegiance to a foreign church should not call themselves a true American.

No, I don’t believe that. I’ll tell you as a Blake watcher that he’s always been a self-pitying type. Poor, poor me. Even when he was hosting Carson!

Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if his parents ripped him off financially, but sexually? No, don’t believe it.

He’s in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, btw as a tiny tot who gets scooted away by Bogart.

No, my family who fought in WWI and WWII and Viet Nam were not Americans - just happened to pass by this way when heading toward being citizens of Vatican City.

You’re a stupid person, Clemenza. I’ve thought that for all my years here at FR.

The so called major news outlets would have us believe that hundreds of children call the shots in the US.

Robert Blake, I forgot.
The memory ain’t what it used to be.

Regardless of whether she was a money chasing grifter, I found the utter indifference...distasteful and sad.
