He is my preferred candidate. I saw him field some questions in one of those in the hall interviews and he handled them well extemporaneously, and had the right answers to boot.

Remember - Clinton got the nomination in 1992 because he was the last man standing. He never led the pack. All the ones polling above him self-distructed.
I don’t know if Trump will take it all, but if Cruz is in it for the long run, the odds are that he’ll end up at or near the top.

Even though the moderators intentionally ignored Cruz, he was no shrinking violet and really capitalized on the small moments he was "allowed" to speak. That's pretty remarkable and most others would have blended into the fog and disappeared. Let's face it. He's an intellectual powerhouse, fiercely principled, and consistent. This makes the MSM, GOPEe, and any on the left really nervous. He's like kryptonite to them.
I'm very interested to see how this situation evolves. If there's one thing I know, Cruz is no quitter.
