GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) says the United States must acknowledge a “painful” history of racial discrimination that still affects many minorities.

Rubio told reporters in South Carolina on Monday that the biggest problems are a lack of economic opportunity and sour relationships between minority communities and law enforcement.

.....

Rubio said he will discuss race more prominently “when it’s appropriate.”

Pandering is unbecoming to a Senator, Senator.

Why don’t you build yourself up instead of emulating the Democrats? Or is it you have nothing of value to offer?

I didn’t think so.

Maybe in 2020.

Every single mention of race makes racial tension worse.

Gubmint provide more economic opportunities and education?

Dear Senator,
How's that different than, say, Bernie Sanders’ sales pitch? Do you even hear yourself talking?

The Florida senator said the federal government should address the issue by creating better economic conditions and educational opportunities.

Bull crap! Since the War on Poverty was declared under the Johnson Administration, over $4 trillion have been poured down that sinkhole and, according to the GAO report in 2014, poverty is worse now than it was in the late 1960's. Why is that? Well, the reason is because we are "giving fish" rather than "teaching how to fish". The incumbents have zero interest in solving the problem because they want the poor to be beholding to them so they can buy their votes with everything from free cheese to free cell phone. While public assistance payments are up over 30% under Obozo, military pay and SS benefits are up less than 1%. Buying more votes, perhaps?

Enough!

If you're on any form of public assistance and can fog a mirror, you show up every day at 7AM to clean toilets, wash floors, or whatever else a federal property might need. Let's see how long it takes them to find a real job.

Marco, you are so right. They are denied equal opportunities. That’s why no Black man will ever be President and no Hispanic will ever be a Governor or U.S. Senator....oh...wait a minute....uh.... Never mind.

One does not have to pander to minorities. 73 percent of voters in our elections, is WHITE VOTERS! Yes, WHITE voters. Do a Google search. Win the votes of Whites who are fed up and you win the Election.

America has given more to help Minorities than any other group in the world.
U.S.A. has GIVEN Trillions and Trillions of Dollars over the past 590 years or so and most of it has been wasted because it was never enough in the minds of the people they serviced.
Mr. Rubio should read history without Blinders. He’s Blinded by his Prejudices.
