Cruz: ‘I Like Donald Trump,’ Slams NBC For Cutting Ties
The Daily Caller ^ | June 30, 2015 | Andrew Kadar

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz defended Donald Trump on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning.

“When it comes to Donald Trump, I like Donald Trump. I think he’s terrific. I think he’s brash. I think he speaks the truth,” Cruz said.

In the outspoken billionaire’s presidential run announcement, Trump made a variety of controversial comments, some of which were aimed at immigrants. “They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some I assume are good people, but I speak to border guards, and they tell us what we are getting,” he said in his speech June 16.

NBC said it would no longer be airing Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, both of which are co-owned by Trump.

Following NBC’s statement, Trump released a statement of his own. “NBC is weak, and like everybody else is trying to be politically correct – that is why our country is in serious trouble.” Donald Trump will be suing NBC for a breach of contract.

Cruz said NBC “is engaging in political correctness that is silly and that is wrong.”

“I don’t think you should apologize for speaking out against the problem that is illegal immigration. I recognize that the PC world of the mainstream media, they don’t want to admit it, but the American people are fed up,” he said. “Donald Trump is exactly right to highlight the need” to crack down on illegal immigration.

Ted Cruz went on to credit Trump for “focusing on an issue that needs to be focused on.”(continued)

It’ll be interesting to see how far that cruz ship sails. In any case we’ll
be out of the bama cage and hopefully won’t have a hilly climb.

Eisenhower was a pretty good President with no political experience

I never underestimate intelligence of a graduate from Wharton School of Business, author of all time best seller business related book “Art of Negotiations” (going by memory, exact title may be slightly different), and one who built a $9,000,000,000 net worth starting with $200,000,000 inheritance. Or in other words, increased original capital 45 times.

As for political skills, which other candidate has jumped so high in polls so fast? With Cruz as his side kick, Trump will do just fine. Besides, I am ready for an outsider. The professional politicians in both parties is why we are where we are.

“Except the brains should be in the driver’s seat, and there is no way Trump, with absolutely ZERO political experience, is that man. “

Once I would have agreed with you, but I can’t come up with a good example where “political experience” has been beneficial for conservatives. Can you name one?

Your statement isn't entirely true. Prior to becoming president, General Eisenhower chaired the Council on Foreign Relations' Study Group on Aid to Europe from 1948-1951.

What's Trump done now? Oh yeah, Celebrity Apprentice. Impressive!

Ronald Reagan's 2 terms as California's governor helped make him the great president he was.

That was easy.

I’m not impressed by polls, especially those from New Hampshire Republicans. You know Adam Sandler is from New Hampshire and is said to be a Republican. Do you always take your political advice from people like him?

What's Trump done now? Oh yeah, Celebrity Apprentice. Impressive!

Please stop making uninformed statements. I am sure you are smarter than that.

His main style of investing is in land; he’s a real estate tycoon. He bought land, and then he constructed giant properties such as golf courses and casinos on the land. Out of all the buildings Donald Trump made, Trump Tower was his biggest accomplishment. He always kept prices high even when others started to lower theirs. One of the very possible reasons he’s so rich and famous is because he thinks big. A sum of his quote is, why think at all if you’re not thinking big. If you think about Trump Tower, gold courses, and casinos, they all have one thing in common; they’re all huge.

His biggest accomplishment, Trump Tower, had luxurious hotels as well as shops and stores inside of it. He’s also brought up casinos as well as resorts. His name is in the name of most of the casinos and hotels he’s turned into metaphorical gold mines. Donald Trump also owned the Trump Taj Mahal hotel that opened in 1990; that was the largest hotel in the world. The Apprentice, aired in 2004, was also a giant success by Donald Trump; it was a reality show that had a great amount of viewers. Donald Trump even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He created the Trump University in 2005. It teaches mainly about real estate as well as being a successful entrepreneur. In addition to the all of the other things, he’s also written few business books that teach how to be a successful business man. Because he has had many bankruptcies but stayed above water, people trust his ideas and always find him to be one of the best businessmen out there.

By the early 1990s, Donald Trump had owed billions of dollars, and most people thought that he was done for. Since he was able to keep a positive attitude and not accept defeat, he eventually got back to being one of the best businessmen around Also, by continuing to go on and by not giving up, he was put in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the biggest financial turnaround in history. He says his financial failures happened, because he has simply lost focus.

Famous Quotes
1. “I like thinking big. If you’re going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big”
2. “If you’re interested in ‘balancing’ work and pleasure, stop trying to balance them. Instead make your work more pleasurable”
3. “Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war”
4. ”Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don’t make”

Funny, but there was no mention in all that of his father giving him that $200 million in 1971 dollars. Call that impressive if you'd like but it has absolutely nothing to do with politics.

An 8th grader knows there is no SPEAKER in the senate. Donald Trump doesn't.

If you read my previous post, you might have learned that he inherited $200 million and expanded that capital FORTY FIVE TIMES into $9000 million ($9 Billion) net worth?

I have never denied Trump is rich. Surely you're not saying I have. But again, that has absolutely ZERO to do with politics.

Being rich doesn't mean anyone would make a good political leader. If you think so you must also believe Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Larry Ellison (Oracle) would all make good presidents. Hell, why not Oprah?

For openers, Trump has more name recognition than all those ultra rich dudes you listed and much more dynamic personality, except for Oprah. And all those you listed are avowed liberal democrats, and would not run as republicans if their life depended on it.

Even Trump critics have admitted when they met him in person, they liked him as a person. And most important they are not feeling patriotic enough to take on the tough task of running for president.

Look back where this discussion started. It began with the topic of political experience and/or knowledge. Trump has none. Absolutely zero. The man doesn't even know there is no speaker in the senate. And you think he is qualified to run this country?!

I'd rather cast my vote for someone more knowledgeable of how things are done, not some rich narcissist who has used his wealth to purchase everything he has ever wanted in life save for the peoples' White House.

Have a nice day E.
