HOUSTON, Texas – Continuing to build a robust national and Michigan organization, Cruz for President today named Wendy Day, the current Vice Chair of the Michigan Republican Party and Liberty movement leader, as the Michigan State Director for the Cruz for President Campaign.

“Wendy is a great fit because she is no stranger to grassroots politics at every level,” said Ted Cruz. “Her influence in the Great Lake State and commitment to freedom make her a valued member of our team.”

Wendy is one of the most respected, hardworking grassroots leaders Michigan has seen, said Cruz State Chairman Saul Anuzis. “No one will out work her, no one knows both the Republican Party and Tea Party movement better than Wendy”.

Wendy Day gained influence and notoriety in Michigan when she founded Common Sense in Government, a group that highlighted elected officials’ misdeeds and educated voters on how to hold those officials accountable. Currently she serves as the Michigan Republican Party Grassroots Outreach Vice-Chair.

“Ted Cruz articulates a consistent message of optimism that has fired up people from the U.P. to Detroit,” said Day. “It’s clear that his courage, intelligence, wit, and love of country will unite voters from across the spectrum who rightfully demand that America’s future be built on Freedom. Michiganders are telling me that this is the first time they’ve seen someone who reminds them of Ronald Reagan.”

Day is responsible for organizing the 2010 “snowman protest”, where her volunteers built over 60 snowmen in front of the Michigan Capitol to protest taxes. The result was a humorous and eye-catching display that attracted news media from all around the world.

Wendy Day is a military wife and mother. She has been married to Kevin Day for 19 years and they have four children, including David, 18, Craig, 17, Allison 11, and Brady, 7.

The Michigan Presidential primary is slated for March 8, 2016. In the general election, Michigan holds 16 electoral college votes.

so you’re in bed with Elizabeth Warren and all the Democrat radicals in congress on this one then. Good to know.......

But I’m gonna embarrass your “lame” comment in a bit.

if you’re a Ross Perot Donald Trump protecitonist, in bed with Liz Warren, then no, Cruz is not for you. Head on down to the union hall and get your marching orders.

I think this deal is above your head and pay grade, but here is Cruz so called “lame” explanation: He didn’t duck the issue or give a pabulum BS answer either:

“’In my home state of Texas, there are over 2.2 million jobs that depend on exports,” Cruz said. “Trade benefits farmers, it benefits ranchers, it benefits manufacturers. When we open up new markets across the globe, it creates jobs and economic growth and opportunity here at home.’

But Cruz was also careful to thread the needle between being pro-business and still being a vocal critic of the Obama administration. When asked if he trusted Obama to negotiate a trade deal, Cruz said that he believed the administration could “do very little,” yet he was comfortable enough that Congress would have a vote on any deal the president negotiated.

‘The next 20 months are going to be very dangerous. The Obama administration has proven to be the most lawless and abusive in history, but one of the few areas where this administration has been willing to support positive economic policies is in the area of international trade,’ Cruz said, before going on to criticize his Democratic colleagues for standing in the way of TPA. Cruz jokingly classified President Obama’s disagreement with those in his party like Sen. Elizabeth Warren as “Democrat-on-Democrat violence.”

I’ve got news for you fellow, even Mark Levin, whom you quote, is against this deal. Giving anything to Obama in secret is dangerous. You can hurl stupid insults all you want, but it just shows your lack of understanding of what has happened to America since the last trade agreement called NAFTA.

I’m getting to the age where presidential candidates being younger than I am is no surprise.”

And I am to the age where not only is most of the world’s occupants younger than I, but I would never vote for anyone older than I, regardless of who they might be. And I certainly wouldn’t vote for Hillary even if she were 40 years old.

Politicians need to be limited by years, both in the number they are allowed to serve and by age.

What about taking away from zero via the courts.. like zerocare, zeroamnesty..... if you don’t think there aren’t backroom deals to derail everything else zero wants, you’re a pessimist.

That’s why zero said today the Iran deal ‘WILL HAVE’ his name on it, since nothing else will as shot-down laughingstocks of history.

"In my home state of Texas, there are over 2.2 million jobs that depend on exports," Cruz said. "Trade benefits farmers, it benefits ranchers, it benefits manufacturers. When we open up new markets across the globe, it creates jobs and economic growth and opportunity here at home."
Lest anyone gets the idea that Ted Cruz will accommodate special interests benefiting big business for reasons other than the public interest, there are these examples contrary to that notion:
Senator Ted Cruz opposes reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank of the USA, calling it "crony capitalism." That position has placed him in direct conflict with the strong desires of some large businesses in the No. 1 exporting state of Texas, many of which supported his run for the U.S. Senate and now complain that his conservative ideology trumps their requests for support.

Cruz opposed a bill to reauthorize a program to manage the Federal Helium Reserve that was about to expire. The bill eventually passed 97-2 in the U.S. Senate with Cruz voting against it despite the fact the Federal Helium Reserve is based in Texas. He objected because all the proceeds from the sale of the helium gas stored in Amarillo would not go to the U.S. Treasury, therefore, it was not in the public interest.

Are you serious? You are obviously a troll or a supporter of another candidate, which is fine. But don’t post idiotic stuff on this page. You obviously haven’t been paying attention.

You so so so miss the point: your comments are not in proper context. I’ve not said I’m for it or against it. Hell, I don’t know.

What I DO KNOW is that this is not a pure political ideological issue of conservatism versus liberalism. I’ve confronted some other posters who insist it’s a bellweather issue. It just is not that.

You either agree with Liz Warren and all the most radical members of Congress and with the union thugs - or with Obama on this one....in other words, who the hell knows about this one. No one on FR does.

Now I love Levin, he’s a friend of mine, but Cruz perhaps knows more about this bill than he does. Do I like something Obama is doing in secret? HELL NO, but on the other side are even more radical Democrats than Obama.

Liz Warren being against is should be enough to sink the other side of the argument either. Sorry ma’am, this one is not an ideologically clear battle.

Actually I do get it and once again you have twisted things around to meet your own narrow perception. This is not an either or issue, but a right or wrong issue. It is wrong to give a person, who should be brought up on multiple treason charges and has outright lied to the American public, any secret deal to do anything let alone trade deals, which will ultimately cost more American jobs. The fact that the republicans are even considering this appalls me to the very core. You say, “Hell I don’t know and no one on FR does,” that is the point, we should and have a right to know. The fact that this places me in the unusual position of agreeing with some democrats on this issue, helps me to understand that this deal stinks to high heavens and I question the integrity of anyone who supports these shenanigans.
