He thus pointed the finger on the "Control Act of violent crime and public order" adopted by the Clinton administration in 1994.
Ted Cruz, one of the many Republican candidates in the race to the White House, accused former President Bill Clinton have put a generation of African Americans in jail, so he stated that his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, should respond to this.
Cruz and pointed his finger on the "Law on Control of violent crime and public order" adopted by the Clinton administration in 1994. One measure introduced tax incentives for States launched the "harder" criminal laws, such as those on imprisonment.
Cruz's attack comes on the day that President Barack Obama returned to address the issue of mass incarceration affecting mostly African-American communities.
Pffffttt.
He was the first black President.
Good. The left is trying to blame the present problems with the country on “racist Reagan”, it’s time to push back before they control the narrative and the GOPe starts to agree with them.
I could be mistaken, but I thought it was Rand Paul and not Ted Cruz who made this assertion ?
wait a minute wasn’t there another thread here that had Rand Paul saying the EXACT same thing “a generation of blacks”?
So what is Cruz getting to here? It sounds rather vague. Blacks have a higher rate of criminality so it’s logical they’d have a higher incarceration rate.
Rand Paul: Bill Clinton put generation of black men in prison
so who actually made this claim??
H! wuz part of installing 100,000 cops to hold the Black Man down....
I thought Rand Paul said that too?
This is discouraging from Cruz.
Don’t play the Left’s game in a thinly-veiled attempt to pander to blacks. Simply tell blacks the truth that big city machine Democrats combined with poverty programs that have destroyed the independence and dignity of blacks.
Republicans just don’t have the guts to speak truth to power.
see anove post
it appears that Rand Paul is being credited with saying precisely the same thing as ted cruz
Rand Paul: Bill Clinton put generation of black men in prison
how can THAT be??
Rand Paul: Bill Clinton put generation of black men in prison
Im thinkeen the mexican paper es messtaken... .
Obviously, both Cruz and Paul are trying to pander, and beat the Democrats at their own game. Not likely to work. The issue that no candidate wants to deal with honestly is the fact that blacks have a higher crime rate, and thus are incarcerated more.
LBJ’s ... voting Democratic for the next 200 years plan:
I find it odd that they are both quoted as having said precisely the same thing on the same day
I could believe rand paul saying as much
I dont believe the spanish language article about Ted Cruz having spoken those words .
It doesnt fit his profile at ALL
If this is true, I’m astonished that Cruz would make such a statement. Just doesn’t seem to fit his beliefs, from everything else I’ve ever heard him say.
“Ted Cruz” “Bill Clinton imprisoned a generation of blacks”
Rand Paul: Bill Clinton put generation of black men in prison.
thats nearly VERABTIM similarity
Im thinking that either brian williams or dan rather is working for the spanish language rag
quick search — I can’t find this Cruz quote. I hope he didn’t actually say that. Most of those blacks, given the high black crime rate, probably deserved to be in jail.
Given what Mexicans think of U.S. blacks, this looks like a disinformation effort against Sen Cruz by ... someone.
Ha, ha! Good one!
