Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a Tea Party favorite and leading figure in the 2013 government shutdown that rattled investors, isnt the kind of politician who usually wins a lot of friends among Wall Street campaign donors.
The freshman Republican senator from Texas has none of the moderate tendencies that financiers often prefer in presidential candidates. Cruz relishes his image as an anti-establishment figure and boasts of his aversion to compromise. He has vowed to abolish the Internal Revenue Service and repeal President Barack Obamas signature healthcare plan, commonly known as Obamacare.
Despite the uncompromising rhetoric, Cruz is winning praise from some potential Wall Street donors, including bankers and hedge fund managers, who told Reuters there is more to him than the conservative firebrand of the campaign trail. He has been courting financiers in their homes in New York and Greenwich, Connecticut, they said....

“He’s the best and smarter than all the rest. “
Oh no, now you’ve done it. FR’s Walker Dead will troll you now. Arm yourself!
I like Governor Scott Walker, too!
umm, OK. Just protect yourself. You’re not one of those described by a Freeper as “FR Cruz bullies” , are you? s/
I don't ever remember the MSM referring to Obama as a "freshman senator" back in 2008. Is this a new term?
I doubt Wall Street will ever vote for a Republican.
This is an excellent article to post to social media. (I just posted it to my FB page.) We need to try and persuade those who are somewhere in the mushy middle that Cruz is NOT in fact a “crazy (fill in the blank).”
Lots of folks hated LBJ though.

“But he added that he expected either Ted Cruz or Florida Senator Marco Rubio to become president “within the next 20 years.”
If Cruz does not become POTUS 2016, wouldn’t it be wonderful,(dreaming) if he replaced Judge Ginsburg.
Ripon and Rockefeller Republicans.
Tell your friend how Eisenhower got rid of the illegals.

"The Obama Administration has repeatedly assured Members of Congress that there is nothing in the Trade Act of 2015 that would allow the President to unilaterally make changes to federal immigration laws. I agree, and we should put it in writing and make it binding law," said Sen. Cruz. "I am a strong supporter of free trade, but I cannot support legislation that would allow the President to once again circumvent Congress to enact his own immigration laws. Since the Obama Administration has emphatically argued that TPA will not affect immigration, it should support this amendment, which makes that promise explicit."
The amendment states that nothing in the Trade Act of 2015 or in any trade agreement subject to the Act "shall alter or affect any law, regulation, or policy relating to immigration."
The amendment also states that any fast-track procedures shall not apply to any implementing bill submitted with respect to a trade agreement "that includes any provision that alters or affects any law, regulation, or policy relating to immigration."
Thank you for posting the amendment Cruz is asking for. The bill itself has nothing in it that has not been in other trade bills before it. I understand that we have never had as untrustworthy a President as we now have, but the legislation itself does not seem to be the boogeyman.
