Since, the site does not allow posting on FR, the curious among you might want to see which country in your state is most Republican by Clicking this link:
The Most Republican County in Each State
Good report but the site is pop up city
Proud to say I live in Teller County in Colorado.
Teller also ranks 4th or 6th, depending on the study, as the most concealed carry permits per capita.
As you might guess, not a lot of crime around here and we like it that way.
And too many clicks. It's not a one page list.
Then I got to Idaho, which reads:
Idaho
Some 93.3% of Madison County residents who cast a ballot in the 2012 presidential elections voted for Romney, the largest share of any county in Idaho and of any county in the country. About 35.8% of county residents lived in poverty from 2009 through 2013, more than double the national poverty rate of 15.4% over the same period. The countys population is also nearly exclusively white, with 95.2% of its 37,542 residents identifying solely as white. Unlike most predominantly Republican counties, Madison County residents were relatively well educated. In the five years prior to 2013, 33.7% of county residents had at least a bachelors degree compared with 28.8% of all adults nationwide.
So there you have it. All predominantly Republican counties are filled with rich crackers who are poorly educated. Except for Madison County, Idaho, which is filled with poor crackers who are also well educated. Imagine that! Nevermind that the 95.2% population of crackers is lower than the state as a whole and one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the state.
Collin County, Texas here. Pretty darn red but speckled with some blues.
The 7th Dist of GA in which I live is the most conservative District in the State. We still have a RINO rep. Go figure.
Sussex County, NJ reporting.
No presidential candidate has ever visited Sussex County.
The Democrats knew they couldn’t win.
The Republicans knew they couldn’t lose.
Still a red county, but being infiltrated by many fleeing from blue territories, and bringing their politics with them.
“While counties dominated by Republicans tended to be wealthier, residents in these areas also tended to have lower educational attainment rates compared to the bluest counties.”
Two points - wealth is created by hard work (hence more wealth with lower education), and “education” is now an euphemism for “leftist propaganda”.
This is one of those sites you have to click about 30 times to see the story.
I noticed that BS too. Most of them had to make mention of how white the county is. Well, how white is the US? It’s more white than 0bama is black, but we can’t mention his Irish side now.
Wow, click on the link, which tells you to click on a link to see the list, and then the list takes 11 pages.
Too much work.
Two ways to go about it.
1) CLICK ON PRINT on the page and it will show a page that shows the entire article in one print page ( you don’t have to print it ).
2) Go directly to the state you are interested in. They are in alphabetical order.
we are neighbors. I am from New York.
This is the most Republican County in NY: PUTNAM COUNTY:
Putnam County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 99,710.
The county seat is Carmel. Putnam County formed in 1812 from Dutchess County and is named for Israel Putnam, a hero in the French and Indian War and a general in the American Revolutionary War.
Putnam County is included in the New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located in the lower Hudson River Valley. Times Square is around a one hour drive and Grand Central Terminal is approximately 1 hour, 20 minute train ride from Putnam County. Putnam County is increasingly considered part of Downstate New York as the New York Metropolitan Area continually increases size.
It is one of the most affluent counties in America, ranked 7th by median household income, and 47th by per-capita income, according to the 2012 American Community Survey and 2000 United States Census, respectively.
Not a big surprise. The last DemocRAT that won the presidential vote there was McClellan.
It is a nice area to live.
Yeah, they can mention “how white” a county is all they want.
Let’s see the crime stats, then tell me there’s a “problem” with the county being “too white”.
