Neither McCain nor Flake are the people that anyone should model themselves after. I have no use for either of them.
Some HotAir or other RINO blogger is pissed that McCain and Flake now can claim ownership to the idea that Cruz is nowhere near as good as Goldwater. The last thing you want is McCain claiming credit for a talking point and then trying to sell it to Republicans.

From Arizona. Goldwater was not the man many think. He was a flip flopper on abortion to get elected like Flake and McCain on illegal immigration. He lacked the knowlege, depth and courage of Cruz, as do F and Mc and l he was more of a Libertarian than a conservative.
But what do F and Mc know?
Ya gotta be like 70 at least to even remember who Goldwater was. It just goes to show that these old establishment dinosaurs are still living in the last century.
And so say the two AZ US Senators, who by comparison make the Senators of Ancient Rome seem like kind and generous representatives of the people.

McCain has two sides. One of them is very charming.

There’s truth in that.
McCain’s organization on the ground in AZ is known to support bringing democrat crossovers into any primary where a Conservative challenger is running.
McCain’s tactics are very similar to those that Cochran pulled against McDaniel in Mississippi.
In effect, democrats in AZ want to see McCain in office over any Conservative challenger and McCain doesn’t mind representing their interests.
So yes, he’s very much a RINO. He would not be Senator if weren’t for democrats ensuring he gets the GOP nomination.
In his later years, Goldwater was openly hostile to religious conservatives and once memorably quipped that "every good Christian ought to kick Falwell right in the ass."
These two rinos are correct, Ted Cruz is no Barry Goldwater, and while I voted for Goldwater, I knew that no pubbie was going to win against the demonRAT that had just replaced the holyone from taxachewshits.

McCain couldn’t even hold an innocuous conversation with Cruz even on a good day. He is as insane as bag of sh!t house rats.
