Not the same at all. Pope Benedict was forced into the Hitler Youth near the end of the war. You don’t think he’s a Nazi, do you? The people in ISIS are there because they want to be there. Many of the people in the German war machine had no choice or were merely normal patriotic citizens.
I’m sure after that last ‘performance’ Palin realized she had to apply herself more thoroughly. I suspect she was being closely scrutinized by many who, while still on her side, did not appreciate her more cavalier approach to speechmaking, whether a teleprompter had malfunctioned or not, she had to get more professional if wanting to maintain her top tier status.
