CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC: Apparently back then when Romney was thinking of putting [Chris Christie] on the ticket when he was running, when he was running, he discovered there were some problems, alright? Do you think he might use those problems against him next time?
DAVID CORN, MOTHER JONES: Well, that opposition book is rather thick. If Romney doesn't use it, somebody else will.
MATTHEWS: And therefore -- but I keep thinking Romney is going to be the nominee after all this is over.
CORN: No.
MATTHEWS: Look, I'm pretty good at this.
CORN: No. No... He's not going to run.
MATTHEWS: It's easy to do this, but I always shoot the moon. And I think in this case they're dying for a middle of the road centrist conservative. I think they want to win....

If the GOPE wants to lose again
I think we should go with Bob Dole.
How nice of the rabid left to frame the republican presidential nominee debate as a relative taste test between a dog and cat waste sandwich.
Tanned, rested and ready.
Come on Chrissy, it’s gonna be Joe McCarthy and you know it.
And?
Neither one can fight out of a paper bag nationally
Who is Chris Mathews?
If Romney is nominated again, the Republican Party will go from being the Stupid Party to the Death Wish Party.
Put down the hash oil candybar...

Mitt Romney: Registered Democrat
Mitt Romneys 1992 Democratic Primary vote for Paul Tsongas a technocratic modernizer and reformer, but very much a Democrat raised some Republican eyebrows last week.
What hasnt been mentioned: Romneys vote formally enrolled him in the Democratic Party. more
For anyone who either believes in leprechauns or that Mitt Romney is a conservative this should be of significance, especially since his minions haunted this site making much of the fact that Rick Perry was a Democrat before 1989.
The speculation is that Romney had originally intended to challenge Ted Kennedy in the Democrat primary then decided to run as a Republican. This makes his 1994 campaign strategy much more understandable.
According to a Romney campaign spokesperson, Romney switched back. One doesnt know how Romney managed to switch back. According to the town clerk, Romney became an Republican only on October 19, 1993. The implication is that Romney had either never voted between his registration as a independent in 1979 and 1992 (so his vote in 1992 automatically enrolled him as a Democrat) or that he was a regular Democrat voters in those earlier elections and changed to Republican to run for Senate.
I think Mitt is going to run. I still think Hillary will not run.
Mitt can probably beat Hillary in the Dim primary, but will fold like a wet sock against the Dim nominee or a good GOP nominee.
Oh boy, the media choosing our candidate once again.
Mitt’s job is to block a conservative from getting the nomination, he really doesn’t care about winning POTUS, he mailed it in after getting the nomination.
Based on Chris Matthews’ “logic”, I REALLY think that the woodchuck at the Staten Island Zoo should run. Oh wait. Comrade Bill DiBlahBlah killed the poor critter by dropping it on its head last Groundhog Day. Oh well, that would put it on a par with a braindead liberal like Hildebeast.
They would rather lose with a RINO than win with a conservative.
The leg never lies.
