"Progressives" is the correct term, from a historical perspective. They are directly connected to the Progressive Movement that began in America after the Civil War, and went mainstream with the 1912 election of the first academic Progressive to hit the White House, Woodrow Wilson.
She will end up losing the primary and running on the Peace & Freedom (Communist) Party ticket. In 2012 their candidate was Roseann Barr and Cindy Shehan for veep.
It got more than 67,000 votes being on the ballot in Florida, Kalipornia and Colorado.
Cindy Shehan was also their candidate for Kalipornia governor this year, she got 52,700+ votes or about 1.2%

The new line in the GOP-e is that the way to undo Obama’s executive amnesty is to pass an amnesty bill in Congress, just what the GOP-e/Chamber of Commerce want anyway. If that happens I can see Warren running very effectively on a $15 an hour minimum wage to “save the middle class”.
