Here’s the real story: Cruz made a terrible mistake in judgement by picking thie battle.

He didn’t have to, he could have stayed out of it but instead he’s become a lightning rod, taking a position on an issue that A) nearly NO ONE understands, B) is highly complex, involves multiple issues and literally does mean different things to different people, and C) because of the above is not something that most Americans are going to study enough to understand and make an informed decision about. Cruz put himself in a no-win situation, because in the details there are aspects of Net Neutrality that are very conservative in principle, and some aspects that are not. He will be attacked from all sides and if he tries to clarify by digging even deeper into the abyss, will be ignoring the First Rule of Holes.

A poor choice of fights to take the lead on, regardless of whether you agree with him or not. It would have been much smarter to just let people watch Obama struggle on his own. But now, he’s got a target, and Obama likes nothing better.

Translation: He has a set of stones that most Republicans never dreamed of having.

In general, the basic concept of “Net Neutrality” is the antithesis of conservative principles. Just because there are some glimmers of phony conservative ideas tucked away in the details does not make this turd one bit more palatable....well, except for RINOs who can use this tidbits as their fig leaf.

...aspects of Net Neutrality that are very conservative in principle..

B.S! The Gruberizers behind this scam made it complex PRECISELY to muddle the waters, just like Gruber did with the UNaffordable Health Care Scam Act. Conservatives believe in letting the market work, not in fixing things that are not broken! The collectivists want to get their hands on the Internet because sites like this one, for example, reveal their lies. That want the power to shut such places down!
