The percentage of conversation about Sen. Ted Cruz that was positive on Facebook fell after the Texas Republican criticized net neutrality, calling it “Obamacare for the Internet.”

Positive interactions related to Cruz on Facebook dropped from 52 percent over the period of Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 to 34 percent from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11, following the firebrand Texas senator’s reaction to Obama’s embrace of net neutrality, according to data supplied by Facebook.

The percentage of negative interactions for the first week examined was 44 percent, with 4 percent of the interactions being neutral. For the later time period, the percentage of negative interactions was 61 percent, with 5 percent of the interactions being neutral.

Facebook — which supplied the data about the interactions to ABC News as part of a partnership — defines interactions as “posts, comments, likes and shares” on the social network....

I wondered why they are tracking things like this to begin with

It is the newest service that Facebook is offering to corporate consumers.

ABC News announced a few weeks ago they were going to use this data to cover the 2016 election.

What Facebook claims anyway. They are liberal liars, so I don't believe them. /johnny

I call it a socialist networking site for a reason.

Stalinists lie. ALWAYS

Facebook doesn't even present all "subscribed" content to the users. It suppresses news, events, etc in favor of what is "trending" and in one social(ist) experiment, tried pushing only positive/negative (I think it was the latter) news items to some users' feeds.

With such biased newsfeeds, garbage in results in garbage out.

And this doesn't translate to Ted Cruz "losing support". It means that the lib-haters are hating more. They loved it when some antisemite Islamists booed Ted Cruz too.

1. FacePoofters and Twitteroids respond to negative reporting in the MSM.

2. The MSM studies reactions on FaceBook, are amazed to discover negative reactions.

3. The MSM reports those negative reactions as proof that their original negative reporting is valid.

4. The MSM repeats steps 1-3 indefinitely.

Gruberizing the news.
