And, just what do you expect him to do? I suspect even if one court rules differently than the others, and it goes to the SC - they will rule 5-4 in favor of gay marriage. The outcome would be the same. That doesn’t mean we have to accept it in our hearts. Let the deviants live their deviant lifestyles, because they are the ones who have to answer to God. Had harry reid and bammy not packed the courts with flaming liberals - the outcome might have been different. Just like abortion - we are now seeing victory in this after so many years. Roe v. Wade passed in 1973. I don’t care how the courts rule - it is and always will be an abomination in God’s eyes.

"Courts don’t get to make our laws." No matter their "personal convictions" or their fear of being not liked by liberals.

THIS is a hill worth dying on. The power of the PEOPLE and the STATES to set laws as they see fit.

Ref: the 10th amendment.

Gay marriage is NOT a Federal law, yet.

So it is up to the States until such time.

Republicans should pound this notion, that a small cabal of liberal judges know better than YOU do, and what's right for you.

Doesn't even have to be about gay "marriage".

Simply say that the people of my state have said no, by a free election.

And I won't allow us to be bullied by these tyrants in black robes.

Wow! It isn’t Scott Walker living this deviant lifestyle. I just don’t know what any of you here expect him to do. He can’t go to the SC - they won’t take the appeals - at least not now. But, to call him such filthy names when those should be reserved for those who are pushing this agenda is beyond the pale. If he should wind up on a national ticket, then he might have some leverage - wow - some of you on here are pathetic.

“No loving, committed couple should ever be denied the freedom to marry...”

So, incest, bestiality, pedophilia? There’s nothing stopping you! And why just a “couple”? Surely polygamous polymorphous marriages are a constitutional right?

What I would like him to do is NOT ISSUE A STATEMENT IMMEDIATELY SAYING IT’S OVER.

There was absolutely NO PRESSURE at all for him to issue such a statement.

He could have been totally silent on it. Or if asked, he could have said he still was personally against it, but that perhaps in the future there’d be other opportunities.

We just roll over and immediately offer this crap when it’s not necessary.

What exactly can Walker do right now? Like it or not, SCOTUS failed to take the case. The appellate ruling stands. It’s an abomination to states rights, but it is what it is.

Another circuit court needs to uphold a state law and SCOTUS needs to review it. Until then, the will of the people is being stifled by a bunch of folks in black robes and their perverse reading of the 14th Amendment.

He also could have pointed out the bigger issue of judges legislating from the bench, instead of the people. the people of WI amended the constitution - and it’s no small feat to do that, because two different sessions of the legislature have to pass it as well. It would have been a great time to explain the issue, and use this as a perfect example of the judicial overreach going on in this country, where unaccountable unelected judges thwart the will of the people that follow valid, legal laws. It’s also a great example to discuss states rights and 10th amendment issues.

He failed to do any of this.

“Sorry Governor, neither you, nor any of the other cowards who are talking like you today, will be surrendering for me and mine.”

He’s right, unfortunately. It’s OVER....

Where are the hundreds of thousands of normal folks out in the streets protesting across the country about this??

If we don’t give a damn enough to stand up and be counted on something as important as this, what did you think was going to happen?

The same applies for almost every issue we on the right face.

Until we get off our butts and out into the streets, it will just continue. Which is why the Tea Party, and anyone associated with it had to be demonized and marginalized.

“There was absolutely NO PRESSURE at all for him to issue such a statement.”

Actually, there is LOTS of pressure, especially in a tight election in a purple state.

He just disarmed the endless media attacks on this issue, by doing this.

The only way you can think it’s over is if you believe that we are a judicial oligarchy instead of a constitutional republic, based on the laws of nature and nature’s God.

Or if you think God has changed His mind about what He considers to be an abominable practice.

...”It’s over, no need to die on that hill. They won, this time for real. Nothing is going to change the fact that Gay Marriage is now the Law of Land in the US.”...

I predict that divorce lawyers will be 10 times busier than ever before now that gays can legally marry.

I guess nobody realized that the left will fight until they win. Not until they get tired. Not until it looks hopeless. Doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong; detrimental or beneficial to the country. They play to win. At best Republicans play not to lose. And Walker is the latest example. <.I>

The left wins because decades ago they decided to control the thought and the message. They entered the fields of journalism, education, art, literature. They majored in nonsense that conservatives made fun of, but guess what. They own the debate now.

How are your "real jobs" and "small businesses" working out for you conservatives? Maybe we should have made different life choices when we had the chance.

The posts on this thread on this thread are disgusting. This thread is a good example of why we got Obama as a president. The purity that posters demand out of candidates is beyond stupid. I bet these posters have the highest moral and ethical backgrounds and there are no skeletons in their closets.

The bottom line; the people voted against gay marriage and were overruled by the courts. Democracy is in a casket and being buried.

Tell it to the Federal Courts, they are not listening and believe that they alone make the final decision.

The officers of the other branches are supposed to rein them in when they get out of line. That’s where the problem lies.
