George P. Bush, Jeb Bush's son and Republican candidate for Texas land commissioner, said that in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is just a "nominal" cost to taxpayers.
Speaking at The Texas Tribune Festival on Friday evening, Bush said that until someone can present a "sensible alternative" to the Texas's version of DREAM Act, he would support the the law that Texas Governor Rick Perry signed in 2001.
Bush said in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is just "a nominal cost from an economic perspective" for the state of Texas.
Bush also suggested that in-state tuition for illegal immigrants should be indexed. For example, illegal immigrants who start in kindergarten will receive 100 percent coverage while those who start from the 5th grade will get 50 percent of their benefits taken from taxpayers. Illegal immigrants who have lived in Texas for at least three years and have a high school diploma qualify for in-state tuition under the 2001 law Perry signed....

good lord, these RINO’s just will not give it up!
HEY illegal lovers in the GOP!
If amnesty is the Republican party savior you claim then shouldn’t California be solidly Republican and be an economic beacon to the rest of the US?
If not why? Because Reagan GAVE THEM ALL amnesty in the 80’s! and what did it get us? California went to the democrats and the California economy went into the tank.
Now you want to repeat the mistake on a national level!
GO AWAY RINO’s!
I wouldn’t say garbage because such implies what could have been from a useful side material. For me the Bush’s except for Bush1’s WWII service have always been to the favor for other than USA citizens i.e. Mexicans and other south of the border people, and even the rulers of Saudi Arabia.
This family thinks it is "christian" to steal money
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
from others and give it to criminals to pay their tithes.
What George refers to as a “nominal cost” of largesse for illegals should not be the responsibility of tax-paying, law-abiding U.S. citizens.
George P. (for Prescott) Bush is a nut case. I hope a Dem will defeat him. Isn’t Texas sick of the Bushes yet?
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, George Pee, I have a “sensible alternative” for the Texas version of the “Dream Act.”
Round up all the illegals and kick their criminal butts back across the Rio Grande.
I wonder what kind of education deal illegals in Mexico get?
Jeb and his revolting little hellspawn are the perfect examples of the candidates wanted by the GOPe. They aren’t conservative and don’t care about cutting government, but mentioning the Bush family name drives liberals into a frothing rage and increases their turnout to vote for the Democrat. The GOPe wants to be a minority in Congress so they don’t have to actually keep their campaign promises to cut taxes and spending, and the Bush family is the perfect tool to accomplish that objective.
The low IQs, subpar literacy rates, and poor family cohesiveness of illegals suggests (and proves) that they will be nothing but miserable failures, as well. They are a good way to simultaneously devalue American PPP while simultaneously being a reliable Dementocrat voting bloc, though.
The idea of charging a Mexican criminal who is in Texas illegally less in tuition than someone from New Mexico would be charged for the same degree program as a legal student in Texas is offensive. If they want tuition subsidies for criminals, they should have a flat rate for everyone, even students legally enrolled but from the other 49 states.
exactly
he left of the “Feh” sound ...
PHEnominal.
“George P. Bush, Jeb Bush’s son and Republican candidate for Texas land commissioner, said that in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is just a “nominal” cost to taxpayers.”
So much so that he has volunteered that the Bush family fortune will be used to pay these “nominal” costs, so that taxpayers will not have to pay even more money on behalf of citizens of other countries.
H.L. Mencken’s rule: “When a man, ‘A’, wants to improve the lot of man ‘B’, by hurting man ‘C’, then man ‘A’ is a S.O.B.”
Since TX Land Commissioner is a first statewide office for those 'training' for governor, with ambitions for president, I will be voting for the 'Rat for Land Commissioner. This Bush must be stopped before he can advance his ambitions further. Besides, he's absolutely unqualified for the office [I know, such an old-fashioned idea].
Once stupid, always stupid.
The costs isn’t the issue as much as the propriety of invaders stepping in front of the line and screwing over those who are attempting to immigrate here legally.
Maybe Georgie P. could pick up the “nominal” tab. The AMERICAN taxpayer shouldn’t be forced to “educate” foreigners who are breaking our laws by being here. The DNC could also fund some of this “nominal” tab since it is commie lib ‘RATS who are programing these idiots when they are sent to our “schools”.
