AUSTIN, Texas -- Democratic nominee for Governor Wendy Davis has come a long way since the heights of her pink-sneakered glory days back in June 2013, when she captured the national attention of abortion advocates for her eleven hour filibuster against Texas abortion bill. Today, less than two months before the general election, it seems that her party is reduced to hiring roles that should be filled by basic volunteers to keep operations going.
Davis attempts to rebrand herself as a defender of second amendment rights flopped, her book is not exactly tearing up the charts but did get her an appearance on Rachel Maddows MSNBC show (as well as an ethics complaint), and multiple cutesy messaging gimmicks, like the #BeyonceVoters tumblr blog -- abandoned after a flurry of posts in July, never to be heard from again have failed to gain traction, as Davis finds herself facing ever-worsening poll numbers....

You have to put this in perspective. This has been an awesome campaign and political move for Wendy Davis.
1. She was very likely to lose her state senate seat in Ft. Worth, so she had nothing to lose by running.
2. Her “filibuster” of pro-life HB2 gave her a national platform that running for Gov extended.
3. She’s raised quite a bit of national Democrat money, and that itself creates future political ties and connections.
4. Abbot simply isn’t beatable for most intents and purposes. That wasn’t her goal. Bet you money that Wendy Davis ends up a host or commentator making the DNC rounds. She’ll at least be the DNC point person on the status of the Democratic Party in Texas over the next two decades.
Wendy Davis has turned a losing state senate campaign into a future career in DNC politics/media by moving up to a losing Gov. campaign. That is and has been the point of her campaign all along. The idea that she could actually win the Gov’s Mansion is fodder for the true believers.
Wendy Davis will win in November, and she’ll win exactly what she set out to win, and that wasn’t the Gov. Chair.
Even Democrats were against her when she was nominated and they opposed it.
The problem with working for Deadbeat Davis is that you can’t be sure she’ll actually pay you.
The title "former gov candidate" to be used EVERY TIME they refer to her from now on.
When Windy loses in November, she'll be gone from (and/or done in) Texas. If not physically to either of the 'left coasts', she'll be done as the RATs 'maiden of hope' to turn Texas blue.
In my view; the RATs (and their money changers) will be looking for a brown, articulate female for their next move on the Governorship.
The Rhode Island carpetbagger was poorly vetted and carried too much baggage for the RATs to spin away.
Apparently not. This might be a opportunity to end her career by canvassing against her instead of for her and get paid for doing it.
Wendy Davis ads keep showing up in everyone’s Facebook feeds- it’s quite entertaining to read the comments (and make a few), as they run overwhelmingly negative.
I wouldn't vote for this woman for Rat Catcher, out of respect for the rats.
People should apply and then do a substandard job. Drain her fund of money.
Conservatives should apply for these jobs and then screw up the process from within!
I emailed the Hildabeast supporters asking for free “Ready for Hillary” signs and stuff. When they come in I will throw them in the trash. Let her waste her money.
