Lewis Black injected a bit of his signature brand of humor into the current political discourse on Monday, calling socialism “enforced Christianity” and telling anyone that calls Obama a socialist that “you’ve got to be out of your goddamn mind.”
The comedian, playwright and Daily Show fixture, speaking at the National Press Club in Washington DC, went on to lampoon Republican attacks on the federal government and the role they ascribe to “entrepreneurs” in the American economy.
“To say it’s all going to come from the private sector is truly psychotic,” Black said.
Asked about his preferred candidates for the 2016 election, Black paused before settling on a Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin ticket.
It wouldn’t be fun to live through but “I could sell out stadiums,” Black said.
Reflecting on his time doing USO shows for American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Black said America has a “big bill coming from the military” after the two wars. “You’re gonna have to pay up.”
“If every American sacrificed 10 percent” of what American troops have in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Black said, “We would have no problems in this country today.”
Lewis Black is a big state Statist Control Freak who thinks he is more intelligent than the rest of us “Hicks” that is gives him the right to tell others how to live their lives.

He’s okay but he tries to hard. I get that he is playing the “very angry” stand up character but sometimes it comes off as really forced.

I’ll admit I have found some of his stuff hilarious, but I’ve never been enamored with his politics.
I do agree with him, though, on the pubbie ticket for 2016. Cruz/Palin or Palin/Cruz, either way, I’m in.
Why can we never tie the Liberals down with this one simple question...

What is the fundamental percentage of taxes that is “TOO MUCH”? What Number is too much, what percentage?

The whole argument that the “Conservatives” think that it ALL came from the private sector is the biggest lie and straw man that was ever constructed by the lie-berals.
What Conservatives DO think is that MOST of it came from the Private Sector. MOST is different from ALL. The remainder comes a LOT from LOCAL governments and then STATE governments, then FEDERAL government.
The Lie-berals take that small percentage and propagandize it to make it MOST or ALL when it is most certainly SOME to a LITTLE...
Lewis Black is making a complete Strawman when it comes to trying to make people think that the Conservative Movement supposedly thinks that it ALL comes from the private sector.
Conservatives do know as a fact that without FedGov we would be speaking German and that would be a major crimp on business and things like freedom, the bad thing is now days FedGov is screwing with the citizen instead of protecting the country like what they are supposed to be doing and ignoring the silent invasion coming “from the shadows” ....
A bunch of voting drones who will speak another language and thusly be easily manipulated by the elite at the top will easily vote in the sort of regime that started starving/shipping people to their doom. The same sorta of regime that we fought against 70 some years ago...

Well said, I feel the same way about Lewis Black. He spews anger and hatred and how anyone can find any humor in him is amazing to me.
