There used to be an audio clip of Ted Kennedy chairing a meeting. He said "We're here for topic A", and an aide would correct him and the swimmer would restate it "We're are here for topic B", and so on, including getting what side of the issue he was on wrong.
The Boston talk show host said the clip got lost in the radio upheaval of the ownership change, and relocation of the studio to a broom closet in a different park of the city...
The again one of my [former] senators couldn't remember what half of Congress he was supposed to be in...
