Don’t show them the error of their ways, educate them as to what high minded liberalism has done to blacks and other minorities. In 1964 the black prison population was the same percentage as they were in society as a whole, 12-15%. Then, “The Great Society” happened. Democrats used the KKK as their military arm for 100 years. The architects of the Holocaust were the German SOCIALIST party, not the German Right Wing Party.
I just question that number. I believe the percentage of the prison population back then that was black was higher than the percentage of the general population that was black. The latter number was more like 10%.
I'm not saying that the percentage of blacks in the prison population today isn't higher today than it was back then, and I'm not saying that the "Great Society" didn't have negative effects on the black family. It's just that there were probably more than 12-15% blacks in the prison population back then and way more than that percentage today.

I am from the blackest state there is and was a teen in the upheavals like marches and forced busing in 1969
Black culture in 1960 was far more problematic than white.....they were not equals in cultural barometers
Illegitimacy was 20%....white around 1-2%
Crime was worse in black areas but nothing like now ....it was perfectly safe to be a white man or even woman and your car break down at nite in a black area in Jackson MS in 1963....now its a death or rape sentence
Civil rights and Great Society and so forth basically expounded an existing but manageable problem and resulted in an 80% lost black populace
And in the process overall cultural decay really hammered white illegitimacy
