WASHINGTON A Florida congresswoman on Tuesday introduced a resolution honoring Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen whose slaying a year ago this month stirred national controversy.
Rep. Frederica Wilson, a South Florida Democrat, introduced a resolution honoring the life of Trayvon Martin, urging the repeal of Stand Your Ground laws, and calling on the United States government to address the crisis of racial profiling, according to a statement from her office.
Today, Trayvon Martin would have celebrated his 18th birthday, the statement read. We all know the tragic circumstances surrounding his murder: Trayvon was racially profiled, chased, made to fight for his life, and ultimately murdered. Yet we as a nation have yet to take substantive action to stop such a heartbreaking incident from happening again. Enough is enough: We as a nation have buried too many young black boys. Lets set Congress on course to address the underlying causes behind the crisis that Trayvons death symbolizes. Lets take action to stop racial profiling and give our people a chance to succeed.

“We as a nation have buried too many young black boys”
GOD is no respecter of persons, Frederica. Your “young black boys” suffered at their OWN hands for disobeying Him. Certainly, being the vagabonds of broken homes didn’t help. Your “community” is responsible before God for its choices, period. Get scared, then call upon the name of The Lord! The thief on the cross did. You can’t get any more guilty or condemned than that, and Jesus SAVED him. We are all without excuse.
Also, your comments about a citizen prior to his fair trial disqualify you for public office. Leave at once, lest you store up more wrath for yourself on thee day of God’s wrath (those in authority will face a stricter judgment).

Nobody has more than one birthday but then there is always the walking dead.
‘We as a nation have buried too many young black boys.”
How many at the hands of other blacks??!! HMM?
Nobody wants to analyze that little data point.
Let’s see his school records first — and his toxicology report — and his Facebook page.
When will they have a bronze statue of him with a bag of Skittles hanging out the pocket of his hoodie, a blunt stuck in his grillz, a can of Arizona tea in one hand, the other hand giving the one finger salute and his pants on the ground? Place it on the front lawn of the new elementary school named “@*%(#(*&” in honor of his FB page for all the little kids to look up to.
I can’t wait for Gang Month. /sarcasm
Sheila Jackson Lee backing off makes it a trifecta.
The Grio? Why, pray tell, does NBC NEWS have an exclusively AA website? I’m afraid that some might find that offensive.Or insensitive. Or (dare I say it?) rayciss.
Honor his life? Oh, that’s rich.
The “lean” variety of “purple drank” will be served at the commemoration.
The recipe involves Skittles(tm), and Arizona Iced Tea(tm) Watermelon Flavor, along with prescription cough syrup containing promethazine and codeine.
Since mister Trayvon Martin had two of the three unique ingredients, it would be appropriate to celebrate his life with the narcotic drink of his choice.
It ain’t exactly new and they aren’t alone.
Is the congresswoman saying that an honorable skittle is a dead skittle? /s
“It aint exactly new and they arent alone.”
Yep. And what’s up with the hats?
There is something wrong with that woman.
And I think it could be ..... DEMON POSSESSION
