I don’t know about you, but I thought Mitt’s victory speech in NH was a real stem-winder. The best speech I’ve heard him give and a great surprise. Perhaps he’s decided to run a really tough campaign against Obama. Hope so.

The future of our party rests with the Conservative base who believe that abortion is wrong, taxation in its' current state is unjust, government is too big and is the problem not the solution, Israel is our friend and Hamas, the PLO, Muslim Brotherhood, Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are our enemies, a strong offense is a good defense when it comes to foreign policy, Iran shouldn't be trusted to manufacture cap guns much less nuclear weapons, anchor babies are precious gifts from our Creator but are nonetheless not our responsibility to spend tax payer money on and that our borders should be secure by any reasonable means, and that marriage should be between a man and a woman. If you agreed with most of that, to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, "You may be a Conservative Republican."
A hearty amen to the truth. Conservatism is being attacked on all sides but God is our stregth and refuge, a very present help in times of trouble.

The only thing I would add is that I think Perry might wait until the VA court decision and not just SC results and that Santorum may not be able to continue past FL if he doesn’t get additional funding.

I would certainly support his candidacy should he get the nomination

Meh.

I can see Obama ads now-—

Mitt’s a real nice guy! He’s willing to change his views to help others!(Pictures and voice reels of all Mitt’s flip-flops)

I care about everyone, but I have to stand my ground on what I believe! (Various pious poses with grand words...save the oppressed, etc....)

Final: (Picture Obama bathed in light) “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. I stand for America”

Every time conservatism runs, it wins. Except for the times when it loses.

Well I know that this is just my opinion, and you are all going to shoot me for it, but I have carefully analyzed the field.

Due to the debt as a percentage of GDP, and referencing that to historical precedent, I believe that we only have about 10-15 years left before total collapse. If we don't cut massively cut spending, then we are doomed as a nation.

As much as we hate to admit it, both Liberals and Conservatives spend like crazy. This has to stop immediately. How do we do that?

Romney is leading because people think he has the best chance to beat Obama. However, I personally think anyone can beat him, so let's put up the candidate we actually like.

We generally pick a more liberal candidate, thinking he has a best chance to win... but this never works. You need to pick someone that people are excited about.

There are only two candidates who have proven a track record of cutting spending... Gingrich and Paul. I have always liked Gingrich. He balanced the budget. He even balanced it with Clinton in office! This is a big deal. No one else can make that claim.

As for Paul, I really think that he is a conservative as well. (Now hear me out for a minute). Paul REALLY wants to cut spending. He wants to bring troops home because he knows that there is just NO MONEY LEFT. The best way to protect this country is to protect us from financial collapse, which means cutting spending (even in the military, unfortunately). How safe will we be when there is no money for the military at all? We are already at this point. Think about it.

As for legalization of drugs, gay marriage, etc, he is 100% right because THESE ARE NOT POWERS DELEGATED TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and therefore fall to the states under the 10th amendment. He NEVER says that he would FORCE states to legalize drugs... he would just remove federal restrictions. He would not forcibly legalize gay marriage... he would leave this up to the states. I don't necessarily agree with gay marriage or some of the other liberal views, but the feds have no right to tell the other states what to do, any more than the feds have the right to tell the states how to control immigration, force the states to allow abortion, or force the states to conform to EPA regulations.

The Federal Reserve is next. This is an unelected entity that has more control over us than Congress, Supreme Court, or the President combined. Who will end this?

Ron Paul is not likely to win. By voting for him in the primaries, we are sending a message. We are sending a message to STOP SPENDING IN WASHINGTON. I have voted in 5 presidential elections PRAYING that I could change Washington. HOWEVER, it NEVER changes. Someone has to get the message. Voting for Paul will send the message, even though I think that Gingrich better represents my values.

Paul resonates with younger voters because they are worried about their future, and rightly so. They need someone who REALLY WILL CHANGE WASHINGTON and restore states’ rights.

If Paul were to win the nomination, he would energize the youth of this nation like never before. Obama wouldn't have a chance.

I will do anything to end the reign of Obama, so I will vote for the Republican nominee no matter what. Most Paul supporters will do that as well, even though you say otherwise. Believe me, even you would vote for Paul. NO ONE wants Obama elected. However, just don't expect Washington to change if Romney is elected. He is just the lesser of two evils. You should expect more of the same... as well as an end to this precious country.
