I don’t know about you, but I thought Mitt’s victory speech in NH was a real stem-winder. The best speech I’ve heard him give and a great surprise. Perhaps he’s decided to run a really tough campaign against Obama. Hope so.

I would have liked it more if it hadn’t been entirely cribbed from real conservatives like Ronal Reagan and Rick Perry, just to name two obvious contributors. It left me totally in the dark as to the identity of the real Mitt Romney; whoever he is, he isn’t the person he was pretending to be Tuesday night.

That said, and aside from everything and anything else, I believe that Mitt Romney is absolutely the weakest and most unelectable candidate the Republican Party cold nominate this year. He’s even less electable than Ron Paul.

After the Obama machine is through with Romney, his wife wouldn’t vote for him.

Ugh. I will vote for the nominee since anyone is better then Zero.
BUT this campaign has reinforced my decision to leave the GOP and register as independent in 08. The GOP leadership has done a wonderful job of sucking the life and energy out of the conservative base since the election of 2010. I see no hope of real change or policies that will significantly change the current course to a fiscal disaster.

I need to go back and watch it. I have no doubt he is ready to fight Obama. This guy REALLY wants to be president. He has run a brutal shadow campaign to destroy conservative options for the past 6 years to do so. He is in it to win it.

My concern with Romney, besides his clear tact to the left this cycle, is that Obama is going to make mince meat of him. Let’s hope if he prevails in the primaries that he can avoid that outcome.

The problem with Romney is not that he can’t give a good speech, the problem is what will he do in office, nobody knows what he would do. He seems to have such a desire to please everybody that he just may give up principle to do so. I’m afraid that Romney will care more about Gay rights than my rights, that he will care more about balancing the budget than lowering taxes or cutting spending. I am worried that he will care more about the safety of society than my 2nd amendment rights. I’m afraid that he will feel so sorry for the single mothers in society and their poor helpless babies that he will do nothing to discourage this horrid practice. I’m afraid that because he is a nice guy he will not make the hard decisions that have to made if our society is to survive and grow.

He has had a lot of speeches that talk about good solutions to all these things, the problem is his history in office is that he has never done those things. He is a Mormon. As a group they are pretty conservative people, how in the world we end up with Reid, Huntsman and Romney on the political stage when there are so many good people in that church is beyond me.

The last paragraph of the article describes what we need and it describes Rick Santorum.

Keep dreaming. Mitt will say anything he believes the sheep want to hear. So long as it suits his purpose, Mitt is all things to all people. Mitt’ record speaks loud and clear as to who he is.
