Audio: Hannity interviews Republican Arlen Specter on his support for the spendulus package

I recorded the audio today. It was too good to pass up. Listen as Hannity grills Specter over his support for the Theft Act of 2009. Someone who’s supposed to represent conservatism has completely sold out to the Democrats. This is a perfect example of the problems within the Republican party and the conservative/libertarian movement. We need to make an example our of Specter and weed him out!

He is truly blind to what is going on around him. It seems that all he cares about gaining political points with moderate Democrat constituency, when really, he’s so isolated in his support for this bill, (along with Snowe and Collins) that it will backfire when a REAL conservative unseats him in the next election.

Listen to the audio:

I guess you haven’t followed Specter’s career very closely.

Specter is a Rockefeller Republican. He has never been conservative.

Everyone should listen to this babbling fool for yourselves. He has the reasoning skills of a post turtle.

I heard it and I am furious. He thinks he has a record of being independent. What a laugh. He has a record of being 150 lbs of manure in a 50 lb. bag and had the audacity to whine about what a tough job he has. Worthless.

Anyone with Leahy’s phone number on speed dial is no conservative.

He’s a traitor.

Hanity didn’t ‘grill’ Specter; he gave him an undeserved swath of radio time to sidestep Seans softballs.

He should hav harped in the invasion of “healthcare” and the diversion of the little credit that’s available to socialist purposes. He should have excoriated him for hocking the future of our children and grandchildren.

Some one on one of Philadelphia’s talk radio said the “stimulus” bill will definetly creat one job...for Pat Toomey. Toomey is an ex congressman who may run against Arlen “not proved” Specter in the 2010 primaries.
Hope he retires Arlen.

Just for once I’d like to hear Hannity, Limbaugh or any of these other “bastions” of conservatism get someone like Spector on the radio and call him what he is, a disgrace. All Arlen ever hears is praise about being a unifier, or the brave one strong enough to cross the aisle, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Why can’t one public figure with enough clout to actually get his attention (not one of the ignorant masses as he surely thinks we are) actually tell him how much damage he is causing? Hannity didn’t he let him skate away believing he is right and the rest of the GOP is wrong. We truly are our own worst enemy.

Let me assure you that this is an intelligent man and that he knows exactly what he is doing. But let's not pretend his passions are his country, his Constitution, or conservatism in general.

I heard fear in Specter’s voice. Hannity’s not all that scary and he went easy on the old Senator. I think the Dems have something on him and he had no choice. Chicago style politics.

Keep this recording. It will be the nail in his re-election coffin. Can’t believe Bush stumped for this moron. I hope Steele has cleaned house of all the ‘politics as usual’ RINOS and will not put any money toward them.

"I heard fear in Specter’s voice."

So did I. I listened to it on the drive home. It was the first and only time I've ever screamed at the car radio in pure disgust and outrage. He had no answers, no plausible explanations for his position; only nervous laughter and a stuttering "well...well.." every time Hannity pressed him. He's bought and paid for. Compromised, and in somebody's pocket. Can't say I'm surprised. After all, this is the man who gave us the "magic bullet" explanation for the Kennedy assassination.
