Letter to President Bush(Consequences on pressure for Israel to give up her Covenant Land)

March 12, 2002

Mr. George W. Bush
President of the United States
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington D.C. 20500

Re: God’s Covenant Land (Israel)

Dear President Bush, On October 22, I wrote you a letter about the importance of Israel’s covenant land in the context of the Middle East Peace Process and our country’s involvement in the “land for peace” proposals.

That letter cited same day events that have taken place when you or your administration made public comments or were actively involved in meetings that would have an adverse impact on God’s covenant land of Israel.

Our new book, “Israel: The Blessing of the Curse,” which deals specifically with this subject, was also sent to you by a close friend of your parents and was sent to the First Lady by a friend of yours from Midland.

In addition, I was able to personally give a copy to Vice President Dick Cheney and to Karen Hughes and 450 copies of the book were distributed to legislators on Capitol Hill.

By now, you certainly must be aware of Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-OK) and his address on the Senate floor this week. Sen. Inhofe stood courageously in the face of world opinion and presented seven powerful reasons why Israel is entitled to possess her covenant land.

His seventh reason was and is, by all accounts, the most important. Quoting Scripture, he said that Israel has a right to the land, and that we ought to support her in this, because God said so. “This is not a political battle at all.” he said. “It is a contest over whether or not the Word of God is true.”

Surely you would agree, Mr. President, that Israel’s very existence today is in grave danger, not only because of the Palestinian Authority and other Muslim states who seek her demise, but because of our nation’s sponsorship of “land for peace” plans which have led her to the brink of war.

The Bible is very clear that our loving and fair God will always warn His people before judgment comes. He has warned our nation many times since the Madrid peace talks in which your father was an active party and participant. Those warnings are clearly documented in “Israel: The Blessing or the Curse.”

However, the Lord is preparing to lift His protection on our nation and against those other nations who are pressuring the nation of Israel to give up her land (God’s covenant land) according to United Nations Resolutions 242 and 338. Those resolutions are an affront to our Lord.

Allying with the enemies of Israel in a war against terrorism, in return for siding against Israel, is not only illogical and erroneous, but it will be a miserable failure. Most importantly, it will draw the Lord’s anger and wrath.

What is happening in the world, and especially in the Middle East these days, is truly remarkable. But then again, Bible believers (like yourself) should not be surprised, because the Old Testament prophet, Zechariah, pre-warned us about these times over 2,500 years ago:

“On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.” (Zechariah 12:3 NIV)

“On that day, I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 12:9 NIV)

Mr. President, you have been very clear about choosing sides in the battle of good versus evil. In that perspective, the world continues to side with the Palestinians and the Arab nations against Israel, the country that is called the Promised Land in the Bible and home to the Jews who are called God’s Chosen People in the Word of God.

Millions of Bible-believing Christians and observant Jews around the world are currently lifting prayers to God on behalf of Israel, the integrity of her covenant land, and for the United States that you, your Administration, and members of Congress will choose to support Israel, with faith and courage, in the face of increasing pressure.

In my previous letter, I expressed my feeling that the words I have written may not affect or change your decisions regarding Israel, but I am hoping and especially praying that they will.

Please understand, Mr. President, that I am fulfilling part of my calling, which is to warn you, and those who advise you, about the seriousness of any pressure on Israel to give up her Covenant land.

Many people, including myself, are praying for you, and they will continue praying for you daily.

In His Service,

William R. Koenig

This is not a good thing, I am bookmarking this thread on my page. Why does America need partners with its enemies? If we need bases to play with Iraq, use Israel, it ain't that far and is FAR more loyal. First thing my wife said when she heard this news was "Uh, oh"...

You either stand for your principles or fall without them.

Though I draw no conclusions, the mystery of why the USA is not
mentioned in end-times seems to be coming clearer every day.

We all do not know when the Lord will be coming back but you make a very good point. The United States thinks it is on the side of Israel, but how can we be on the side of God when we are insisting that Israel give away her covenant land? We may think we are on the side of the temporary secular state, but are we on the side of God's plan for His chosen remnant? Might this even be a reason for judgment on our nation? Have we touched the apple of His eye by pressuring Israel to abandon their settlements and trade land for peace? It is God's land to give, and He has given it in eternal covenant to Israel.

I bet Arabs can produce hundreds of their holy books, where god promised this land to them. "God is on the side of stronger battalions" - this truth is very old but it is still a very valid one.

There is no problems with land per se, say Israel can annex any piece (or whole) of West Bank, and whole world would never issue a pip-sqeak. The problem is that all Palestinians would gain Israeli citizenship and Arafat will be the next prime-minister of Israel in the case.

So, the question is to get some land without Palestinians living on it. What are Israel's chances of getting any land without Palestinians at the negotiation table ? This chances are precisely 0. I would even say that these chances are negative, becuase any agreement will include return of million or so 1948 refugees into Israel proper. So, negotiations clearly do not make any sense.

So, there are not that many choices: Israel can grab any piece of land whithout Palestinians living there, plus she can take strategic areas where granting citizenship to thousnads of Palestinians is a fair price for location and this is it.

After that Israel NEEDS Palestinian state ASAP. Look, I doubt that Siria dislikes Israel any less than say Hamas or Hizbolla, Siria has army, big guns, tanks, planes etc etc, however, there were no problems on Israeli-Sirian border -Israel will simply bomb Damascus into rubble in case of any cross-border attack and the rest of the world would approve it. So, Israel would greatly benefit from moving its relation with Palestinians into same state-based footing, so it should be done ASAP indeed.

Have pondered this issue a lot.

God is well able to foster greater alertness, spirituality etc. on the part of The Church in the U.S.A. . . . and greater faithfulness toward Israel. . . . probably even within the constraints of free-will.

I've come to the conclusion that He is still a jealous God in the sense that He wants to be Israel's protector, Champion, Lover, King, Defender.

Imagine if you were a king and had become engaged to a beautiful woman to be your queen. . . . and then went away to a far land. . . . and then heard/knew your lover was going to be attacked by theives and rapists. Would you leave her to the protection of your watch dog or vallet or even your brother? Or would you race back to be the knight in shining armour yourself.

God mentions in The Bible laughing in dirision at the wicked. I think he's setting up all kinds of traps and jokes pulling the rug out from under them when they least expect it. . . . . He's done exactly as He said he would--making Jerusalem a stumbling stone for the whole world. He'll do exactly all the rest that He noted He would do, as well.

Prince Abdullah's peace plan is not to be trusted and is the same plan that Bush hatched and Colin Powell was to have proposed to the UN on 9/11 without having consulted the Israels! The plan also gives the PLO control over Christian Holy sites in Jersusalem and would make Jerusalem the capitol of a Palestinian state.

The Bible says that Jerusalem shall be a burdensome stone and a cup of trembling for those nations that try to harm and take her over.

Saudi billionaire Khalid Mahfouz bankrolled the Holy Land Foundation and InfoCom who supported Hamas, AlQaeda and Iraqi terrorists out of Dallas for over 9 years. This was knwon to the FBI since 1993. The law firm that represented Holy Land, Akin and Gump, is a law firm that represented Clinton and GW Bush during the same time frame for years. Mahfouz was implicated in the attacks on the USS Cole. Mahfouz was involved in corrupt business deals (4 felony charges loged against GW by SEC dropped by HW Bush appointees) with GW Bush and Jackson Stephens at Harken Energy and with BCCI.

Bush ordered the FBI to back off investigating Saudi Royal Family business operations in the US one month before the 9/11 attacks.

Bush and Powell proposals and their backing of the Islamic Prince Abdullah peace plan to create a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as their capital is a betrayal and trap for Israel and for Christians. These proposals are taking the form of the plan that the Bible says will be presented by the AntiChrist (Islam figure?) and will be accepted by a deceived world. It is a plan meant to be broken and represents another attempt by Islamic nations to destroy Israel, America and Christians and Jews.

I fear that God will permit dire things to happen to the US if Bush and Powell continue their current course in the negotiations and not stopped by the American people and Congress.

My thoughts along these lines go beyond Israel. There's a number of issues that seem to show that the US has completely lost it's way. Just the issue of what's going on inside our school system should let people know that we've lost our way. I guess that's why it drove me nuts when Bush increased their budget by $40 billion. That's exactly what he did in Texas. Folks, you end an education monster that can't do any better than our DoE. You don't support it further.

There's nothing else that can be said, is there, than what God already said.

What a profound letter to the President. You can't get any more clearer than this.
