That's all I can say about it.

"The media would have been all over this story if the victim had been black."

That's right, but they're not interested in truth, only impressions. Running this story would interfere with the standard cons they run.

How about we characterize it as "carlessly and with wanton disregard for a citizens life and safety". I make lots of "MISTAKES", every day, shooting a person, is not one of them. Loss of job and a charge of manslaughter sounds good to me.

Someone would surgically remove your larynx, and sell your house? Yeah, I guess you better not breathe another word about federal agents being above the law.

I'll tell you -- it's awfully hard to shutup, if you are used to speaking freely, and it's a damn pain to be without a home. That's why the Declaration of Independence says "all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves"

Yet at some point a man's duty and not just a man, but men together -- requires him to move beyond complaints, political and legal remedies, the realm of speech into the realm of action. As the Decalaration says: "... but when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off ...".

That move into action is an exodus out of slavery, one that needs Providential help to complete.

By arms or not, it surely moves a person out of his accostumed home.

he was handcuffed and laid face-down on the ground for about an hour

Lynne Hunt, the SAC of the Baltimore office of the FBI, had a press conference today. In it she apologized to the victim, said that medical help was quick and wouldn't say anything else.

Frankly, her comments mean nothing to me. I want to see the time-line reconstructed. The 911 calls are recorded and timed. So far, nobody has asked for or received the timing of the 911 call.

Ms. Hunt also refused to name the "perp" (trigger happy agent) and she refused to answer a question as to whether the FBI agents had identified themselves as such to the victim and the driver of the car.

Me neither as you describe the dog & pony show.

Adds insult to injury. A political show of compassion paraded for Lynne Hunt and FBI's benefit. No doubt the medical help was quick. EMS are competent. Says nothing about the lack of speed, lack of compassion on the FBI agents part to call EMS.

They learned well from x42 how to lie by telling the "truth" - answers that are "legally accurate, but do not volunteer information."

Truth changes from context to context. It's meaning is often disputed. On the other hand, there is no gray area to honesty. An act is either honest or not honest.

When Clinton said he didn't have sexual relations it was the truth -- maybe -- but is was not honest. In fact, his intent was to deceive.
