Well looky here! Who do we find supporting HCI? Why it's none other than DELL! Remember them? They're the one's who claimed "Dell does not discriminate against any business, regardless of the products or services they sell, nor do we discriminate against individual consumers." Of course they don't discriminate against gun owners; they just support those who would rob us of our rights.
Remember this the next time you're shopping for a computer. (Or any of these other products, for that matter!)

Damn, there's so many of them, how would I ever remember who not to buy from. Oh, I'll never buy a computer from Dell anyway.
Does the NRA or any pro-gun-rights group have a site like this? If not, perhaps they should.

Well, I noticed that Gateway wasn't on their list. Haha! Someone said that Gateway is owned by a liberal...but apparantly so is Dell. In fact most/all the puter companies are.
Gateway's still the BEST though, and they have great customer service and their computers HOLD UP!!!!
Have a good day. BUY GATEWAY!!!!

Folks might want to check out
Dell & Guns before you go shooting at Dell. Be sure to see the post on what Michael Dell had to say about all this.

I am shopping and Dell is off the list.
I can't imagine the letter Burpees Seeds gets from my wife when she sees this but you can bet it'll be a scorcher.
To: grlfrnd
How is Gateway holding up? They opened up a Gateway store in town near where I live, but everytime I go in there, they are always empty! No customers. Are Gateway computers somehow more reliable than Dell? Remember we're talking about WinXP here..crash/big brother city. Still, Ive been looking into getting a new system.

So Michael is a Republican, huh? HAHA, maybe a communist, but not much of a republican.
To: Redcloak
In all honesty, I have to tell you that it just doesn't work that way. No friggin' way I'm going to remember to check the Handgun Control Inc list everytime I buy something, whether online or on the street. And even if I remember, the list will probably not be handy. I wish it were otherwise. We need a better strategy here, but I don't know what it might be.

Someone could or should collect all the email address of those companies, and send a mass email explaining our opposition to their support of the gun grabbers and that if they want our business, they'd do well remaining unbiased against gun owners!!
BOOKMARKED for later action

Wind, I love Gateway. I have had no problems and they are always ready to answer the phone and have *very* extended warranties. And have polite people helping you on the phone. Things that all the other computer companies make you pay for. Excellent customer service, treating customers great.
I suggest you go into that Gateway store and they will be wonderful to you. You can phone them 24 hours a day at 1-800-GATEWAY as well.
No, I do not work for them. This is my 2nd laptop. The first was a Sony Vaio (top of the line at the time). Piece of JUNK and no support (well if you PAID for it). Thing was always in the shop. So I know from where I speak. Gateways are made here in the USA, they know how to fix their computers. MOST people adore this company. The only people that don't are a few people here (not in real life that I've met mind you) that don't like Gateways.
PS my fiance is IN THE INDUSTRY and has a Mac but LOVES Gateway, and when I have a problem, and he can't figure it out, he says "Call Gateway sweetheart. They'll be able to help you." And they do. He also thinks real highly of the company. He loves his mac, but again NO SUPPORT from Apple on the computer when he gets in a jam. Freepmail me if you wish.

I suspect HCI simply went & signed up as an "affiliate" with every website they could find that has an affiliate program.
This is where your website gets a kickback from any orders people place if they go to the online store's site from a link on your site.
(Don't know offhand if Dell has an affiliate program.)

I have no idea what kind of setup they have going on here, but I should tell you that I think this list is nothing more than HCI signing up for an affiliate program. An affiliate program lets any website sign up to place banners and links on their page. Then, everytime someone clicks on the link or buys from that vendor, the hosting site, in this case HCI, gets a small fee. I would not go so far as to take this list as a "support" group. Not saying it is or isn't, but we should find out first.

K-Tel Records?????????????K-Tel Records??????!!! Ohmigawsh.............how...........how could they??? How can I now live without my "Greatest Bubblegum Hits of the '60's" or.........all of that other crap they sell???? I ..............I...............oh, the anguish!!!!!
To: Redcloak
Well, I'm going to contact Dell to see if this is true. I don't believe everything I see on the net. I've been putting together a really good system with Dell online. If it is true, boo-hoo! I'll have to go elsewhere.
To: paul544
You may have a point there (affiliate)- but based on the "profile" (for lack of a better term) of corporate policy in this country, the original analysis is a good fit.

***(this message is directed at the poster)***
This is just plain stupid. Anyone can become an associate program member. Just sign up at commission junction or at a corporate website. It would be literally impossible to screen the thousands upon thousands of website owners who make a few pennies for providing the link, besides I thought we didn't want people excluded because of their views? The associate program is nothing more than an opportunity to sell products on your website, not an endorsement of your views.
Hmm, maybe, it would be alright to discrimate if we they don't have the same veiws we do! Your worst than the liberals, becuase you should know better. Get a grip guys.
