Crime: The DMV employee's home is searched for evidence that she was part of a conspiracy to sell phony driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.
The wife of Santa Paula's mayor is the subject of a probe by the California Department of Motor Vehicles into whether she and others conspired to sell driver's licenses to illegal immigrants, court records show.

We ran up against these same people when my daughter was getting her license. Even though we knew she drove well, she kept flunking the test. It never occurred to us that the examiners were looking for a bribe. We were told by a friend to take her to a DMV facility in a town about 20 miles away, where she passed on the first attempt.
