Press Ignores Enron Links to Clinton Perhaps one reason why the mainstream press has not paid much attention to this critical 1995 letter written by Ron Brown is the fact that Brown also lobbied hard on behalf of a major contract for Time-Warner with the corrupt Suharto regime. <snip> Documented Crime but No Investigation Documents obtained from the Clinton administration are filled with direct quotes and hard numbers detailing taxpayer monies that were paid as illegal bribes to a corrupt regime. The citizens of Indonesia and the United States were the victims of a massive crime. That crime has received no press attention and no investigation. It may shock and surprise you that the demise of Enron started long before George W. Bush was elected. Enron's fall was due to "corruption" that started during the Clinton administration.

This misreporting actually endangers people's lives. By selectively reporting the news and turning a defensive gun use story into one where students merely "overpowered a gunman" the media gives misleading impressions of what works when people are confronted by violence.

alpractice and/or malfeasance by "compartmentalization" redux... It appears that The New York Times doesn't learn from its mistakes. Will it take The Times another 50 years to understand/admit that by having endorsed for reelection a "documentably dysfunctional" president with "delusions" -- its own words -- it must bear sizeable blame for the 9-11 horror and its aftermath ? (Note, by the way, the irony of Sulzberger's carefully worded rationalization of the clinton endorsements, pointing to clinton "policies," not achievements, (perhaps understanding, at last, that clinton "achievements" -- when legal -- were more illusory than real--perhaps understanding, at last, that The Times' Faustian bargain was not such a good deal after all).).

"I think the rock is still there, but I'm not sure," Helen quipped. Her punch line to clinton's response to her question about a -- (only in Helen's mind) 'fantasy' -- clinton kleptocracy, was in fact 4th-estate CYA-ing disguised as a joke. Unbeknownst, however, to the always clueless Helen, the one-liner she was delivering was indeed a joke; it was the butt of the joke that was her misreport...

EW YORK, Jan.4--Second-string clinton lapdog, Ann Lewis, failed in her attempt to implement the CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme on "Hannity & Colmes" tonight. The team's implementation score, thus far, is 352 failed attempts and zero successes, despite the best aiding-and-abetting efforts of The New York Times, the Washington Post and Helen Thomas. Rather than disproving the motivating premise of the Harlem-hatched mission -- a clinton legacy of depravity, ineptitude and failure -- Lewis' tired shtick only served to underscore the premise's essential truth. Oliver (Ollie) North, a combat-decorated Marine and host of the Fox News show, "War Stories," was substituting for Sean Hannity. Ollie delivered the coup de grâce: "Reagan didn't need to remind the people about his legacy... The people already made up their mind about clinton." Said another way, the very existence of the CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme is confirmation that clinton was, indeed, an utter failure. |

Wondering how long it will be before our press who do the work of the Chinese Communists anyway - get tired of their chains? I don't think it will be before the American people get tired of theirs.
We should simply buy a huge red stamp and go around stamping the companies being bought up at firesale prices:
waiting for your post to load ....
Since an estimated 80 percent of the beltway journalists vote a straight democrat ticket, it is consistent for them never to cast doubt on THEIR Party's corrupt politicians.
Why journalists in "the media" originally decided to choose to side with, and remain loyal to the entire corrupt democrat Party is an even more interesting question.
Here's a Note to Activists:
Want to do something? Go here:
Ignorance Making You Ill? Cure It!
for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.
You mustn't take yourself so literally.
I am sure you caught on to press reports that Enron's main interest in government influence was 'energy regulation.' After I read about this trip to Indonesia, I recall Coalgate, where Clinton declared a national park in Utah that effectively prevented the mining of 'clean coal' in the United States.

If we had a real Press, instead of the toadying clownish imposters we're plagued with, this book would have been the end of clintonism.
More will follow!
Why not ... when even the GOP ignores crimes they can prove the DNC and Clinton administration committed the last decade.
I'm more disgusted by the GOP than I am the media because at least I understand the media's agenda. Why the Bush administration is completely ignoring the SERIOUS crimes the democRATS committed is VERY worrisome. It suggests a corruption deep in the leadership of the GOP.
For example, why isn't SOMEONE in jail over the Riady non-refund? Anyway you look at it SOMEONE broke the law in that case and it would be easy to prove who, one way or the other. There is NO EXCUSE for Ashcroft not pursuing this.
And why hasn't Ashcroft looked into Filegate? We DESERVE an accounting on how many files were actually taken, whose they were, where they are now and whether the information in them is still in DNC databases where it could be used to BLACKMAIL Republicans.
And why hasn't Ashcroft investigated the deaths of Ron Brown and Vince Foster. Something really SMELLS in both cases and if the GOP is not going to investigate THERE HAS TO BE A REASON. Occam's Razor suggests that if the GOP is not willing to even investigate crimes as serious as MURDER and MASS MURDER connected to treasonable activities, then the other side has something on them that is JUST AS SERIOUS!
Here's a message to the GOP. NO EXCUSES. Tell us the truth or you are part of the coverup.

Nothing less than humanity, itself, will forever be in the debt of Pres. Bush for having had the courage to take on terrorism FOR REAL. (See:The Real Danger of a Presidential Faker: Post-9/11 Reconsideration of The Placebo Presidency) But that does not excuse Bush's less-than-courageous decision not to expend political capital to go after clinton corruption. Not to do so threatens democracy--perhaps more slowly--but just as surely as terrorism does. In fact, it would not be a stretch to call the clinton crimes "domestic terrorism." Frankly, the incestuous, dynastic, professional nature of the current political structure, together with the clintons' limitless access to dark secrets via Filegate, etc., suggest an even less honorable reason than simple politics for the decision "to move on." |
