The Islamists and the Radical Left

The Sept. 11 attack occurred exactly four days after the U.S. delegation, along with that of Israel, walked out of the U.N. Conference on Racism in Durban South Africa.
Given the complexities of the attack, it seems plausible that the timing was no mere coincidence.
The Islamists and their sponsors had placed a great deal of stock in a “Zionism is Racism” resolution which would have stamped Israel as the first and only officially declared racist state in history.
The Islamists had hoped that this U.N. sponsored proclamation would be the coup de grace following a year of intensifying propaganda, accompanied by a calculated murder campaign against Jews, to de-legitimize Israel.

In addition, and as a sop to the American left, the U.S. would be required, as part of the planned resolution, to transfer a portion of the wealth of its taxpayers to fellow citizens who claim slave ancestry.
America would also, de facto, see its prestige compromised by being isolated as “racist” as a result of slavery, which existed in the anti-bellum south over 150 years ago.
The plans of the Islamists and their leftist partners were dashed when America, living up to its creed as a bastion of sanity and morality, refused to sanction this despicable lie.
The planned retaliation for our principled stand, we being the only nation in the world besides Israel to stand up to this insanity, was the mass murder of Sept. 11.

The Islamists probably expected American leftists to support the direct action of Sept. 11 once the Conference fell through but this didn’t happen.
Instead, the vast majority of leftists responded by wrapping themselves as tightly in the stars and stripes as the rest of us.
It would be cynical to compare the response of today’s left to June 22, 1941, when, after supporting Hitler, the American Communist Party and its orbit of influence also became super patriotic.
The over-night change of heart back then occurred because Hitler, the friend of the American Communists, double-crossed his Soviet ally Stalin on that date and invaded Russia.
The far left suddenly trotted out the American flag to rescue mother Russia and became pro war.

Sept. 11, 2001 was different for the left because it happened here.
It’s one thing for a leftist to espouse America hating views in the land of free speech while they support violent revolution in far away places where someone else is cannon fodder but few leftists want the “struggle” to hit them on their own heads as they fly to their foundation meetings or commute to their well-appointed offices.
Most leftists prefer to expound on abstract “societal transitions” from the safety of some leafy College symposium.
To the American leftist, a typical direct action would be a red carpet tour of Cuba or China where, after visiting a Polemkin village, he triumphantly returns home with glowing reports on the wondrous progress of all the worker bees he spoke to.

The Islamist believes that America, with a Judeo-Christian ethic that values each and every human life, would crumble after a few holocausts such as the one which they carried out on Sept 11 and most likely attempted recently with a letter mailed to Sen. Patrick Leahy which was dipped in enough anthrax to kill over 100,000 people.
They had employed these same tactics, after all, against Israel for decades and these actions seemed to be bearing fruit in recent years with Israel appearing to be on the retreat as the “peace process” was implemented.

The Islamists seek American withdrawal from the “Ummah” which is what they call all lands under the rule of Islam.
They consider American involvement in the Ummah as a Jihad against Islam and feel commanded to engage in war against the “infidel” America.
They define American involvement as support for Israel, support for regimes such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which they view as puppets, and the ongoing military engagement against Iraq.
Their insistence on total disengagement by America in the Ummah is a first step, their faith teaches them, in their quest toward “Dar el-Islam” or a world totally ruled by Islam.

Leftist intellectuals, and some of the rank and file, have begun to echo these Islamist sentiments exactly.
They propagandize that American engagement in the Islamic world is somehow cruel and unjust.
They justify the attack of Sept. 11 by portraying America as committing atrocities in the Islamic world using language that’s virtually identical to that of Bin Laden.
The leftists also seek to weaken America, which they view as the greatest single obstacle to their aspirations for a socialist controlled world.
With our Judeo-Christian based traditions of liberty, property, sovereignty, morality, and economic prosperity, we truly are and will forever remain the greatest obstacle in the path of both those who seek Ummah and those who seek Socialism.

Well said. Satan must be so angry his followers failed to pull this off.

I love this ending. There's nothing more perfect than the truth.

It's obvious to FReepers that radical Islamism and marxism are brothers-in-arms, yet the general public (through mainstream media) still considers Islamism "religious right" and considers marxism extinct. This is so dangerous--because if I were a marxist (Lord forbid), I'd be thrilled.
