The Terrorist Attack On America: Who Is To Blame? (the case against Bill Clinton)
The Washington Dispatch ^ | 10/01/2001 | Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson

Posted on 10/01/2001 7:12:55 AM PDT by Spin

Our prayers and deepest sympathy have gone out to the families and victims of the “second day that will live in infamy”, Tuesday September 11, 2001. Decent people everywhere are troubled and angered by the horrific acts perpetrated upon innocent American civilians. Rightfully, we have come together as a nation to fight the great scourge of terrorism. We have, for the time being, put aside our differences, in order to properly coalesce around our President and fighting men. This is a good thing. However, it is imperative that we search ourselves to see how this event occurred, and what we can do to prevent or greatly reduce future occurrences.

America’s national security begins with our Commander In Chief. Thank God we have a decent man in that position now in President Bush. But what of the man who held this position previous -- Bill Clinton? Can we in any way lay the blame for the recent terrorist attacks on his shoulders, and is it even appropriate to talk about blame at this point in time? I believe the answer is “yes” to both questions, and I will explain why.

It is appropriate to talk about culpability at this time, and in regards to Bill Clinton, because: A. Bill Clinton is not the current President, and therefore there is no burning need to rally around him; B. Bill Clinton is guilty of helping to create the climate that led to the terror (so it is important to close all the loopholes opened by him); and C. Bill Clinton has made himself available to the media, attempting to change history and deny any culpability for the rise of terrorism and the September 11 attacks.

This is an excellent article written by a great man with courage. Bill and Hillary will go down in history as two of the most dangerous people to ever inhabit the White House! This article helps make the case for an investigation into their crimes.

Sex with Monica was NOT irrelevant.

The point is he was too preoccupied with self gratification and survival to effectively deal with the job of defending the country.

He only made token hits at terrorists to divert attention from his own crimes and did it on days that his troubles would otherwise fill the headlines, meanwhile he found it more important to receive oral sex from a (near) child than to meet and dealwith the terrorist Yasser Arafat.

I don't think that is the point he is trying to make. However, that is relevent in this situation. A true leader must set the example. There are no excuses.

....much of it was irrelevant garbage about sex with Monica. ......

blunt alert...be warned

In my very humble opinion, it is not irrelevant. The President of the United States is getting a blow job by a girl on her knees underneath his desk in the Oval Office (a girl whose name he had problems remebering, by the way) while he is discussing the state of international affairs with a Congressman on the other end of the telephone line.

President William Jefferson Clinton could not delay his own sexual gratification long enough to conduct business that affects every single American citizen. Better yet, call it what it was. Bubba set his priorities and getting his rocks off was more important than the lives of 7000 innocent Americans who were slaughtered by a maniacal, religious fanatic. This country has only just begun to pay the price. It is very relevant.

Bill Clinton bombed the Sudan and Afghanistan without going to Congress, without informing Afghan's neighbors and/or our allies, and without any explanations to the American people.

This week he informed the world that he sent a team of people in to assassinate Usama Bin Laden, clearly against the law and once again without any advice or consent from people outside his inner circle.

Then, there's President Bush's way. Following the law, no matter how inconvenient or time consuming. Working to repair trust with foreign leaders and nations on a basic level, with respect for national sovereignty, and with Bush's quiet determination and resolve, these foreign leaders are gaining respect for a President who does not make idle threats. Americans have a President who also respects their right to know what's going on in their own back yard, and trusts that we are not only capable of understanding, but will come together as a nation and help in this effort.

Excuse the vanity, but the differences between the two men have never seemed clearer to me. President Bush's respect for the law, trust in the American people, ability to see beyond differences and extend a hand to his rivals, faith in God, and love of America. I just wanted to share the observation.
