Yes. Another in a long line of cycles. Almost seems like they just go with whatever is politically correct at the time.
Humm. I seem to have already stirred up a few V.A. facilities. Well——maybe they needed a little stirring.
I agree it sure seems cruel to me. Prayers for you.
Understand your point. You have made it very clear. But I think your wrong. Careful management and oversight of opioid treatment is sometimes the only solution.
Well said
Good to know thank you
Most of the problems with “opiods” are due to the influx of illegal drugs across the border. Punishing veterans and others for the actions of criminals and drug addicts is cruel and pointless.
Well said.
Thanks for the information. I am authorized to shop at the local AFB commissary, but just really do not want to for getting on base is really cumbersome and sometimes the waiting in line can be an hour or so.
The primary commissary shopper would be my wife, and she refuses to go near the place due to all the security hassle.
Yes, you should have gone to the Dr. for shingles in the beginning and not had self-medicated using the prescription for other pain. Self-medicating is always a heads up to physicians for prescription addicts and/or the tendency to become one. You should never use prescriptions for other purposes than what they are initially prescribed for....
I agree!
Thanks, Steve!
My experience has been that the pain management doctor has to be contacted for narcotics. Even prior to surgical procedures to address nerve damage I have had to see my pain management specialist to receive post-surgical pain meds in the hospital.
Due to legislation curbing the writing of excess prescriptions we now have to rely on one prescribing specialist. (One more doctor to see.) This requirement was put into place due to the number of addicts who would go to multiple doctors for multiple prescriptions. Federal law requires urinalysis at each visit to the pain management doctor.
Prayers for your comfort and recovery.
Thanks for the tip. I am 100% T&P. One of my issues is psoriatic arthritis. They have me in humira but I absolutely hate it. Im willing to try anything natural.
My 2 cents doesn't help with your survey. But when it may help any vet to get help, I will help.
I will say that I do a lot of politicking within the legislature in my state. I have brought the issue of legitimate pain management to the attention to my Senators and Representatives both at the Federal and State level. I have been satisfied with their responses and what I feel are good voting records on this topic. If there is ever a need for legislative calls or action for our veterans on this please feel free to ping or PM me. I am not qualified for the survey but my tagline is old and I don't mind calling my reps. (I have them on speed dial)
Im willing to try anything natural.
Look into anti-inflammatory foods. You may also be eating some foods that are a problem.
Will do. Thanks
That’s outstanding.
As we move along in the survey I bet they will be interested in the results.
And to tell you the truth some of the responses we are getting is heartbreaking.
Thank you so much. I will keep you in the loop.
To many trained Indian doctors let into the US to practice. They dont know American care standards. And the VA hires tons of them.
