POTUS Honors Purple Heart Recipients: ‘Its Legacy of Heroism Remains Steadfast’
The president is making sure to honor military personnel who’ve “endured immense suffering to earn the Purple Heart” and paid the “ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation.”
National Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7 to remember those in the U.S. armed forces who were wounded or killed while serving the country.
Salute to all FReeper Purple Heart recipients.
I never knew this day was observed? Yes, I was shot twice. Frankly, I like to forget that day. Many of us lost many men we knew/served with.
