I visited G-burg 10 years ago and wept at the copse of trees on C-ridge when I pondered how suicidal that charge was. The Rebs lost 30% of all troops committed over the 3 days of fighting.

Have visited many Civil War Battlefields. None so powerful as Gettysburg. Sickles Hole. The Wheatfield. Devil’s Den. Each place has a story.
