A few days ago, I saw the convoy of trailer trucks carrying the wreaths from Maine heading south.

New Hampshire today:

Let me be the first to mention Old Hickory, Andrew Jackson jr., Both North and South Carolina also claim our 7th President and the hero of the Battle of New Orleans and the survivor of numerous duels. An unenthusiastic slave holder (according to his favorable biographers), hothead, lawyer, a short term Senator who couldn’t handle the BS, his father died before his birth, his mother and brothers died during the Revolutionary war when he was 14 and a patriot warrior. He hated JQA and his supporters for causing, in his opinion, the death of his wife, Rachael. 1828, one of the most viscous and partisan election ever, prevented the second Adams from being re-elected to a second term.

They place 12,000 wreaths every year at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. The Cub Scouts from my kids’ Catholic school show up to help (unfortuately, my Bear Cub wasn’t one of them—prior commitments). They spend a whole day before the wreath-laying just staging the wreaths for placement. It’s pretty impressive.
