My friends from Florida and in other places, this modest prayer thread for Governor Bush is not about poll numbers, sound bites or tv spots. It's about the mighty political battle ahead with unknown, yet to be revealed elements.

While we do our serious campaign work for Governor Bush, Attorney General Candidate Crist, Agricultural Incumbent Bronson and Katherine Harris, to name a few great candidates, please stop by here once in awhile to ping or bump this thread. If you have a special, unifying prayer you'd like to post here, feel free. I believe in the power of prayer.

In 1996, this image of Mary appeared in Clearwater, Florida (still visible at Drew St. and U.S. 19). She is praying but it's easier to see that in person.

I remember that...big media coverage, people were gathering to pray. Any "stain" that lasts on a Florida window, with our wind, heat, sunlight, rains, Sahara dust, sea salt, is unusual. People are inspired to pray....maybe we should pray for more stains.(^:

Various scientists, religious scholars and skeptics as well as everyone I know visited Mary. Nobody could explain it. The miracle was the thousands of people from many denominations coming together at that busy location to pray alone or in groups or to just be there.

My dad worked in the building when it was a Savings & Loan in the early nineties.

He passed away about a month before Mary's image was revealed when groundskeepers trimmed some trees there. It was a great comfort to our family to go there.

I also visited that window where the image of Mary appeared....it was astounding.....the outline is resembles Our Lady of Guadaloupe.

Has the window been preserved? And is the building still empty? Haven't been there for a few years.

I am praying for both our President & our Governor morning & night and whenever I can during the day. I have began a Novena to St. Jude which I also made for the 2000 election!

The window is still there. I liked the site better when it was just the visitors and was simpler. But, a church group now owns the property so that it will always remain. (it's kind of disneyfied now.) I haven't been in a long time but you never know, I may go back there before the election.

I pray now that someday, Americans who don't bother to vote will realize its importance.
