The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) is a simmering cauldron of blasphemy and mephistophelean angst, to the point that sitting through an actual church service at one of their pagan temples is a foretaste of the hell that awaits them if they don’t repent. Some of the denomination’s greatest hits include:

In the spirit of leading more people to hell, the ELCA’s Wartburg Theological Seminary, in conjunction with the ELCA mothership, has created Queer Confirmation, a year-long curriculum where “Fabulous youth find a livable faith.” According to the site:
The Queer Confirmation curriculum (QC) is a 1-year (24 sessions), synchronous, online curriculum for LGBTQIA+ teens accompanied by a safe adult (parents/religious leader). It aims to deepen relationships with God, peers, and facilitators through curated topics, questions explored in mentored small groups, skills that build resilience amidst specific challenges in the lives of Queer Christian youth, and rituals that buoy young people up in the affirming love of God.
The course was created by Rev. Dr. Jan Schnell (she/her), “an avid advocate, ally, and activist for the Queer community, [who] has developed and taught two summers of weekly Queering Theology seminars, facilitated the development of multiple Queer liturgies, and is the parent of an extraordinary Queer teen” and Seminarian Kathryn Thompson (she/they) who “served as a Director of Children, Youth, and Family ministries for both UCC and ELCA churches” and will feature 65+ “extraordinary Queer leaders throughout the ELCA” covering such topics from a queering perspective:
Unit 1
Covenant
Creation
10 Commandments
Community/Family
Apostles Creed
Bodies
Confession/Forgiveness
Faith/Trust
Reformation
Law/Gospel
Queer Bible
Grace
Unit 2
Baptism
Transformation
Prayer
Greatest Commandments
Paul
Being Lutheran
Living Word
Suffering
Communion
Power of Promises
Vocation
Liberation
The project is being created because “confirmation programs are not equally safe for all people. Queer teens’ faith and lives are precarious” and they are worried about LGBTQ unaliving themselves,. As such “QC’s content, skill-building (e.g. de-escalation or bystander training), and worship rituals fill some of the gap between precarity and resilience for Queer youth.”
These Lutherans will be shocked hear “I never knew you”
Matthew 7:21-23 (ESV)
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? ‘ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness

The only truth in their name is the “of America” part.
If the martyrs knew that this is what they are martyred for. This is what the long road of Christianity has been leading up to...
I’ve known some Lutherans who really believe in Jesus. It’s them I feel sorry for. They have this craziness come in and take over. It’s one thing if it’s at your school or workplace but when it comes to your church you know it’s bad.
The leftist ELCA, not conservative Missouri Synod Lutherans.
I’m wondering if there is a single denomination that hasn’t been taken over by the homosexual crowd.
They should replace the cross with a millstone.
This is a spinoff from other Lutherans, but still a Protestant church. That means the solution is sola scriptura. Any realistic interpretation of New Testament scripture is clear that sexual immorality has no place in Jesus' church.
Option A is repentance of the leaders or they're kicked out (i.e. Baptist president a few years ago). If they're too entrenched in power and can't be kicked out, then
Option B is for the local church to leave the larger denomination (i.e. Methodist churches recently leaving the hedonist United Methodist Conference). If that can't be done either, then
Option C is for the Christians to leave the church and join or start another. (i.e. the many "high church" Protestant churches hemorrhaging membership for embracing abortion and homosexuality).
Our allegiance is to Christ first.
I grew up in a Lutheran church. Now I go to no church. I don’t need one.
A whole year of pedo grooming and coat closet assaults. Parents continue to put their children in harm’s way. Why?
There are “denominations” whose congregations are totally independent of “outside” control by others. On the organization chart, their members are directly under Jesus with no intervening man-made hierarchy, with biblical elders guiding the congregation. If the elders of one congregation go rogue, the other congregations are unaffected. Members of the rogue church would likely leave in droves to attend another unaffected church.
I would love to know the status of the Lutheran church I left in the 60s. It is now ELCA. If one learns scripture, the need to leave becomes compelling.
