AMERICA, AMERICA. . . PLEASE, GOD, SHED YOUR LIGHT ON THEE
Ours is a nation whose sinful nature has gone from bad to worse. You have warned us that there will be perilous times ahead. Paul in prison, in his final letter to Timothy, offers a picture of the times before the Tribulation (Timothy 3:1-5). “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. . .” Paul ends in verses 12 and 13 with “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
As believers in Your Son Jesus please help us come against the darkness of this sinful world that can only be accomplished through the light of Jesus in our lives. Help us step out in faith and disciple to those who do not know Jesus as their personal Savior.
We ask for Your Light of Truth and Justice to shine forth during this election season to awaken unbelievers, deniers, and the unconcerned. We pray that untruths will be revealed. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).
May we be a beacon of light on unrighteousness especially as it applies to the youth who are being indoctrinated in our schools, even churches and by technology.
We are so thankful Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit that You are always there for us (in the good times and bad times - link.)
Have Your Way with us, Lord. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

We must be ready. We do not know the day or the hour when Christ shall return for His Church. Lord God, may we be like the 5 virgins who had their lamps ready as they waited for the bridegroom. Sovereign God, during this Lenten season first lead each of us and our national soul into repentance.
God’s salvation is revealed to those who realize we are helpless in ourselves. Our only help is in the name of the Lord.
Secondly, our world is in spiritually darkness. Yet, we are not left without hope. We cry out for you to save us.
Our prayer is to for your Blessing of true revival for each of us and our nation. “The Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; neither is His ear so dull that it cannot hear” (Isa. 59:1).
Your Grace sent us the Son of Man to come, seek, and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). Let your Spirit continue to guide us as we praise the Lord and glorify your name among the nations.
