I disagree as does scripture. Israel remains the chosen despite the fact they were scattered. It isn’t over yet, as those who have re-inhabited the promised land have yet to experience the prophesied battle preparatory to Christ’s second coming.

...the Greek Orthodox, indeed there have been millions throughout the centuries for whom Greek was the native tongue, believe that Miriam/Mary was always a virgin.

Then they admit Joseph got cheated out of a VERY important part of marriage.

I think I can read pretty good...
but the issue you are erring on here,
seems to be one of [man-made] translation of scripture.
I cannot know which [man made] translation of God-Breathed
Holy scripture you are reading from...
but you are incorrectly reading into scripture John being "given" Mary.

The Greek text of this Crucifixion passage
Is properly translated into English AS "Behold" or "Look"
- AND is never translated as your "given"
in 30+ occurrences of scripture as IT IS WRITTEN...

So yeah, your changing God-Breathed scripture there...
Whats really cool about the greek there- ( beyond the fact that it doesnt mean "given"
as you want some to believe)
But its the exact same word the Angel uses to calm the Shepherds,
And the same word Gabriel uses to tell Mary...
"Behold, you will conceive..."
(Neither of these usages imply "given" either).
That's pretty cool though- from the very Beginning...Behold...
to the Finish on the Cross... Behold.,,

This doesn't mean you are wrong in your opinion,
Im just saying you cant change the meaning of Holy text
to make it say what you want.

the seventh day Sabbath- why aren't you?
by what scriptural means was that changed to Sunday?
The Jerusalem Council changed some things-

And why would He be?

Sex was GOD'S idea and design for humanity. He blessed it and sanctified it.

Again, do you all think that sex is sinful that a husband and wife having sex is somehow unworthy of the God whose idea and design it was?

You are aware, aren't you, that believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in us? Does that preclude sex between husband and wife for believers?

Because by our reasoning, since believers are sealed by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, their bodies would be holy and then they wouldn't want sex. Or shouldn't have it. Or it would be wrong if they did.

Or they didn't really love each other.

If they believe Mary was an ever virgin, wouldn’t it be easier to say, the stork brought all their other children? That would make more sense than this no sex thing they perpetually try to push.
