Archbishop Fernández told InfoVaticana.com (July 5) that he has dedicated little time to Church politics but wants to “catch up” on the matter and “listen, talk, consult” [with anti-Catholics]. He believes that the decadent German Synod "will leave us something good, even if it may be necessary to polish things.”
Regarding homosex pseudo-blessings, Fernández played with words, saying that marriage “in the strict sense” is the union of a man and a woman and “to use this name to express something else is neither good nor right.”
BUT: “If a blessing is given [to homosexuals] in such a way that it does not provoke this confusion, it must be analysed and confirmed.”
Fernández doesn’t regret writing a book about homosexual kissing, and makes fools of his audience by claiming that it was written to explain to young people "why premarital sex should be avoided.”

Secondly, neither "marriage" (except for one mention of some sort of "spiritual marriage", whatever that is), nor "abstinence", nor "chaste" is mentioned. Yet, "sex" is mentioned 25 times.
